Cadillac Is Offering $5K Custom Sneakers Based On Its EV Lineup: Video

Cadillac has announced a new partnership with Dominic Ciambrone, also known as “The Shoe Surgeon,” to offer a series of new sneakers inspired by each model in Caddy’s new all-electric vehicle portfolio. A total of four distinct designs will be offered, with just five pairs produced for each design, making each of the twenty pairs highly exclusive. The new shoes will be available next month, with proceeds set to benefit charity.

The collection takes inspiration from the Cadillac Optiq, Lyriq, Escalade IQ, and Celestiq, with each sneaker reflecting the unique design elements and color schemes of the respective vehicle. For example, the Optiq sneaker showcases a red-and-black design with grey detailing, while the Lyriq sneaker features a cool blue-and-white design with black accents. The Escalade IQ design incorporates a sleek combination of silver and white with black offsets, and the Celestiq sneaker rounds out the collection with a minimalist blue top and silver-grey lower half.

Ciambrone expressed his excitement about the new line, stating, “Collaboration and craftsmanship are at the forefront of what we do at SURGEON. With our unique, custom designs, we strive to push boundaries and inspire. We are excited to team up with Cadillac for a collaboration inspired by their products that have also pushed boundaries with their authentic, American luxury designs.”

Each pair of sneakers will be priced at $5,000, with proceeds set to benefit the USTA (United States Tennis Association) Foundation’s Frances Tiafoe Fund, which supports under-resourced youth. The sneakers will be available for purchase starting September 8th, 2024, exclusively at CadillacSignature.com.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen GM tied up with high-end footwear. For example, NBA player Luka Doncic recently starred alongside the Buick Grand National in a new ad for a pair of Jordans, while earlier in the year, Doncic pulled up to a game in a wrapped 1968 Camaro that matched his shoes.

  • So fitting. An over-priced box based off the much cheaper Tahoe that's made for those who have way too much money I guess. So it's fitting that these same vain people would need to have a pair or two of $5,000 shoes.

What a waste. Is there no shame?

  • Don't let your heart overspeed because of how someone else spends their money. Did you buy a beer when you could have bought a homeless veteran a hamburger? Take a pill and relax.

  • Anyone that sees you walking down the street in your $5,000 sneakers will know that your EV battery just died.
