2025 Cadillac Lyriq Pricing Uncovered

The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq introduces the third model year of the luxury crossover EV with several updates and changes, most notably Caddy’s dropping of the Tech trim from the model’s trim level lineup.

Now, GM Authority has uncovered exclusive pricing information for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq, including prices for all six of the remaining trim levels in their rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq lineup starts with the entry-level Luxury 1 trim with RWD, carrying a base MSRP of $59,990 inclusive of a $1,395 destination freight charge. At the high end of the range is the Sport 3 trim with AWD, which features a starting price of $72,390.

Check out the table below for a full listing of the trim level and drivetrain configuration pricing on the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq, with prices including the aforementioned destination freight charge:

2025 Cadillac Lyriq Starting MSRPs
Trim Level Drivetrain 2025 MSRP + DFC
Luxury 1 RWD $59,990
Luxury 1 AWD $63,490
Sport 1 RWD $61,090
Sport 1 AWD $64,590
Luxury 2 RWD $64,990
Luxury 2 AWD $68,490
Sport 2 RWD $65,490
Sport 2 AWD $68,990
Luxury 3 RWD $68,390
Luxury 3 AWD $71,890
Sport 3 RWD $68,890
Sport 3 AWD $72,390

Zooming in on these prices, the 2025 Lyriq has lower prices across all trim levels than the outgoing 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, with the specific reductions in price compared to the 2024 model year as follows:

  • Luxury 1: -$2,700
  • Sport 1: -$2,100
  • Luxury 2: -$2,000
  • Sport 2: -$2,000
  • Luxury 3: -$2,200
  • Sport 3: -$2,200

Several factors probably contributed to these reductions in price across the board for the 2025 Lyriq. One of these is likely that elimination of the Tech trim enables The General to offer better value to customers, with the outgoing variant starting at $58,590 and having significantly less features than either the Luxury 1 or Sport 1 trims.

Additionally, the GM Winning with Simplicity strategy has been applied to the 2025 Lyriq, with 24 percent fewer components used in the 2025 model year than in its 2024 counterpart. GM CEO Mary Barra says the part count reduction was carried out with “no compromises to performance or features,” but may help to explain the lower prices.

For motivation, the 2025 Lyriq RWD will use a single motor connected to the rear axle, providing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The Lyriq AWD is powered by a pair of electric motors – one on each axle – that crank out a total of 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Both configurations make use of GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies.

Under the sheetmetal, the 2025 Lyriq will continue to be underpinned by the GM BEV3 platform. Production is scheduled to kick off on September 9th, 2024 and will take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

      • Agreed, and really surprised it went down. I was wrong on this. I'll be curious if options get more expensive. If I went with one, I want a moonroof and leather, and those are over 80 on the 24 sticker.

    • Somewhere somebody is overpaying for their Silverado to offset this. If GM wasn’t making money on the Lyriq before, are they now making money with a $2,000 price cut and “simplicity”? I wonder.

I see so many complaints here about “anti-EV trolls” and I don’t consider myself anti-EV at all. What I don’t like though are how ICE buyers are paying dramatically higher prices now and subsidizing money-losing EVs. At GM, the proverbial good-ole’ boys buying the pickups are helping to fund some urbanite’s Cadillac. That’s not fair and I don’t like that.

I also don’t like that GM and others have eliminated many products (like the Sonic or Cruz) that offered consumers choice; especially younger buyers. GM apparently had to eliminate everything small with marginal profits also to help prop up EVs. The irony is these small lightweight cars were most-likely more planet friendly than GM’s overweight EVs like the 9,000 pound Hummer.

I also thought the CT6 was the best Cadillac in 45 years but it also had to die because of slow sales and thus not a lot of profit. In essence GM can’t be losing money on EVs and then build an ICE car that also teeters on being unprofitable too.

Finally, I resent government telling me what I can drive. America’s love affair with the car goes back 100 years and it was always about choices and expression. Along the way someone coined the phase “You are what you Drive” and that was historically true. What someone selected as their vehicle said a lot about them. The engine they chose was also paramount to that expression. Today though, there is only a boring sea of silver SUVs and our current government wants them to all run on batteries and be even more boring and the same. Buyers can have a vehicle that’s like a washing machine - they won’t differ mechanically and they won’t know “what’s under the hood”. They’ll all be white and be the same box.

I’m not anti-EV per se but I detest many of the changes they have brought about.

      • Basically what is happening is F/gm are subsidizing the EV's for the CAFE numbers. They can either pay the fine or cut the price on the EV, or buy credits from tesla. Personally I prefer they offer the EV if for no other reason than to not subsidize tesla.

      • You do realize that the price of materials to build EVs is constantly dropping. Not the case for ice vehicles.

  • Got my 2024 at the 2023 price and love it. One of the best Caddys ever. 22K miles. Cost is $32 a month for electric. Florida. But if you prefer - just keep on pumpin. I notice gas has dropped lately - get ready!!

    • Good for you ,but don't applaud the Government to try to force them everyone's throat. They are not for everyone.

      • The only way to sell these things is to have Mandate replace Freedom which the current "Crowd" is forcing on us if we continue to allow this in November. We can put Freedom first again and send all them Mandate running.

    • i Have a 2024 sport 3 in N.Y so far so good really nice ride was not forced to buy was able to trade my 2022 infinity with 12k miles and get great amount in rebates which brought the price reasonable for a luxury vehicle.i waS CURIOUS on how electric vehicles drove i was impressed they are not for everyone but people should have the option to buy both

        • FrankRizzo:

Oh, you spelled your name Ruzzo later on.... Rizzo sounds more like it.

The LYRIQ has a heat pump so it doesn't use that much electricity, except on days below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

But in Northern States it is very cheap to run 10 months out of the year. I have a RWD model, and the car is unbelievably stable in the Snow and ICE. One of the benefits of expensive Tires and low center of gravity.

  • Step in the right direction here...

I like that the RWD, AWD option is carried across all trims for a $3,500 difference, perfectly analogous to the ESCALADE offering across the board RWD, AWD across all trims for a $3,000 difference.

$1,400 more than the tech but GM could have done worse.

The article didn't state, but how much you want to bet that the cost savings is due to *NOT* offering 2 year unlimited free fast charging , nor $1,500 QMERIT credit to install 220 volt receptacles.

The offer stood for the 2023 and 2024 LYRIQs but I bet it is quietly discontinued since no CHEVY offers it any longer.

I've currently avoided about $3,000 in EVGO billings due to the free program. I have 11 months to go before this program expires for me so I figure I'll avoid about another $1,500 in charges so that's $4,500 in avoided charges.

      • Reading for meaning.

        Reading Comprehension.

I just clearly said they are *NOT* offering it.

The largest seller in the USA is Tesla, and while I don't like their vehicles they only provide a 110 volt plug with the car. You have to buy the 220 adapter if want anything better. They also do not offer in general much fast charging assistance - probably just to get people interested enough to repeatedly pay for their FOR PROFIT fast charging facilities.

They also have NEVER provided free house wiring at ANY TIME.

        Think about *THAT*.

          • Where have I been? I have been here all the time.

GM begs people to buy their vehicles all the time... especially the 100% ICE ones.

,Locally, the dealers spend 95% of their effort BEGGING people to buy their ICE vehicles... Its only lately that I've seen any advertising from them of the electrics.

          • Well 10% are EV's buyers and 90% are for Gas vehicles. It's pretty clear what they ones they need to sell !

          • Yes. Once you purchase the Charger with 100% of your own cash, they will offer to wire it up, but there are plenty of stipulations, in lieu of a receptacle

            1). All exposed wiring.

2). No trenching, and must be in same building as electric service entrance.

3). You must already have or pay totally yourself for a modern breaker panel.

            Or 24 months EVGO card.

For 2023-2024 only. I bet they drop this for 2025 as I've repeatedly said. No Chevy gets this and no optiq gets this.

My Sales Manager WANTED to do this for his wife's 2024 Luxury Lyriq 1, but Qmerit would charge such an ungodly amount that he forgot the whole thing and just runs it on the existing 110 receptacle.

          • i walked out with more then the 7500 in rebates and 2 years of free charge no card they signed me up with EVGO i got confirmation and code to use i already had a Charge point at my house because of my wifes plug in hybrid which my electrician installed for under a 1000

          • Frank the rebates made it more affordable at this time if the interest rates were lower and no rebates probably yes because i got a decent amount on my trade in but not with 8 percent interest rates

          • Hi Markus...

Yeah since I didn't have the income, I only got $2,800 since, being a non-refundable credit since they started offering this back in 2010, this is the amount of discount I got on the LYRIQ in 2023.

I got the EVGO card from them, and I also use the EVGO celly application. The card is mandatory in areas the celly doesn't work, so I can still reliably fill up.

The state let me have $500 of my money back for their program.

At the time, it was rather like 2 thieves giving you a bit of money back from a yearly robbery.

Now, in 2024, with great reluctance, I traded in my very fine 2019 VOLT for a 2023 BOLT EV that a prior person in 2023 could not swing the down payment.

I got $7,500 point of sale federal rebate, plus $2,000 State pos rebate... The reason for the higher amount from the state is the State doesn't subsidize Rich people, so it is only that high if the car is under $35,000. A bit unfair it is true, since the Rich people pay the taxes. But with all sales taxes, prep, and license fees, along with the huge trade-in I got for the VOLT, I wrote a check for $3,450. Could not pass up that deal.

Plus I got $500 for 3 years from EVGO, which I have not touched yet.

Now, for the first time, this is a bit of government WELFARE since all the complaints of ICE drivers saying they are subsidizing EV purchases while NEVER true before Jan 1st, 2024, is true now.

But that is why I retired young. I got sick of subsidizing everyone else for decades.

    • FrankRuzzo:

For the LYRIQ, yes. For the 2023 BOLT EV, no, since I loved my 60,000 mile reliable VOLT, and was a bit sorry to see it go
. The sweetener on the BOLT was $7,500 federal, $2,000 State, and $500 EVGO fast charging credit - so that is a $10,000 reduction in price.

As they say, I might be dumb but I'm not stupid.
