The 2025 Cadillac CT5 ushers in a mid-cycle refresh for the four-door luxury sedan, complete with updated styling, a new cabin design, more standard safety items, and the latest tech features. Among those tech features is GM Super Cruise, the automaker’s semi-autonomous driver assist system, which is now equipped as standard on the 2025 Cadillac CT5. Previously, Super Cruise was optional for the 2024 model year.
As GM Authority covered previously, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 will no longer offer the base-level Luxury trim level, leaving the CT5 Premium Luxury and CT5 Sport as the two remaining non-V-Series CT5 trims on offer. That said, both the 2025 CT5 Premium Luxury and the 2025 CT5 Sport will be equipped as standard with the GM Super Cruise system (RPO code UKL).
In addition, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will also be equipped with the following features as standard (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
The GM Super Cruise system was previously available for the 2024 Cadillac CT5 in conjunction with either the Super Cruise 1 Package (RPO code WK7) or the Super Cruise 2 Package (RPO code WKA).
For reference, the Super Cruise 1 Package previously cost $3,700 and included the following content:
Meanwhile, the Super Cruise 2 Package cost $6,940 on Premium Luxury trims and $7,040 on Sport trims, and included the following content:
Although official pricing information for the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is currently unavailable, it’s reasonable to assume that both the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels will receive price increases over their equivalent 2024-model-year trims.
We should also mention that Super Cruise will be standard for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V, as well as optional for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in conjunction with the optional GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Super Cruise will not be offered for CT5-V Blackwing models equipped with the standard GM six-speed manual transmission.
As a reminder, the non-V-Series Cadillac CT5 models offer two engine options – the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, and the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine. The GM Alpha 2 platform provides the underpinnings, while vehicle assembly takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Every Escalade should be built with it as well.
Every new '23 Escalade is, apart from the most basic stripped down Luxury.
I am SO glad I bought mine without it. Regular cruise control works just fine for me.
Has been since I started driving in 1979.
So, GM now requires OnStar and Super Cruise in the CT5 and only allows a V6 in the V models. Probably going to be several folks priced into an XT5. Looking forward to the article next year wondering why people just won't buy sedans any longer...

If you miss crank windows then this isn't the car for you......
This is definitely not the strategy to bring in more younger buyers, I guessed that's where the CT4 comes in.
Buyers who want a larger space sedan in the CT5 will see the price increase over the 2024 massive considering the luxury trim is already axed. Wow.
The new upgraded 2025 XT5 should come standard with it too.
So is the 2025 xt5 updated or will be continue as a recycle of 2024
GM is going to price this, average Luxury Sedan at best, out of the stratosphere. Then the CT5 isn't going to sell and GM will say they are going to cancel it because no one's buying it.
Don't get me wrong, I love Super Cruise on our '19 CT6 Platinum, but buyers in the mid-size segment need a wider variety of choices and price points.
Right, like how the Camaro wasn't marketed enough, and then it was killed off due to low sales.
It starts at $48,990. The CT4 is there for folks who need to be in the $30k-$40k range.
An expensive package like Super Cruise should never be added standard, especially when a lot of
drivers probably don't want it and would not use it.
If adding SC 1 at cost and it only adds ~ $500 to the cost then OK.
When a car gets pushed over a mark IE $50k, $60k, $70K, it gets noticed and sales go down.
Maybe so few added it so far, that they have excess inventory?
Maybe they are trying to make gas cars more expensive, so people will not be as shocked by EV prices.
Yeah that's crazy. Making super Cruise standard is all part of their long-term plan to make sure everyone subscribe and pay for OnStar. With that as standard equipment the starting price will be past $60k 😬. I guess when people constantly call your product cheap and say it's a "fancy Malibu" they're going to give you a reason to never say that again.
At the end of the day I blame the consumers. We asked for fancier screens, more standard features and technology, bigger engines options. Rightfully so because the competition does have it (at a higher price though). In today's market where the average price of a new car is $48k, it kind of makes sense for a luxury brand to price itself out of the average category. Cadillac is truly going up market And letting everyone know if you want a budget friendly sedan, go to Chevy
I have a 22 CT5 currently, hoped to get another once the refreshed version is released but definitely don’t want to pay for supercruise and the monthly subscription to Onstar. My hope is they’ll see the error in this after the 1st year of sales and drop super cruise as standard. My fear is they’ll stop production of the car entirely.
