The current fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade was first launched for the 2021 model year, and is currently due for a refresh for the 2024 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned when production of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade is expected to commence.
GM Authority sources have exclusively shared that the start of regular production (SORP) of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade is scheduled for November 2023.
For those who may be unaware, here’s what we know about the 2024 Escalade mid-cycle refresh so far. GM Authority photographers have captured pictures of the upcoming Caddy’s exterior, but they don’t reveal much. General Motors has been wrapping its test-beds in heavy camouflaging, but there are still a few details to glean. The camouflage itself hints that the front and rear fascias are set to receive a substantial revision, while a black mesh grille and new lower intake can be spotted from gaps in the disguise.
Another detail is a new antenna design. Instead of the typical fin-style antenna, a new puck shape will be incorporated. As GM Authority has previously covered, the entire refreshed GM full-size SUV lineup will receive this new design.
As a reminder, the current 2023 Cadillac Escalade is available with two engine options, which includes the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the high performance Cadillac Escalade-V ups the ante with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, which develops 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.
As for structure, the Escalade rides on the GM T1 platform, while production of kicked off at the GM Arlington plant in Texas on July 18th, 2022. The online configurator tool is now live.
