The 2022 Cadillac CT4 will ditch three previously available exterior paint colors, GM Authority can confirm.
The following three colors will be dropped from the Cadillac CT4 order book for the 2022 model year:
The Velocity Red exterior color was available on the CT4 Sport trim level and CT4-V only, while Dark Blue Moon Metallic could only be ordered with the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels. Evergreen Metallic was offered on all versions of the 2021 Cadillac CT4.
General Motors will indirectly replace these three departing exterior colors with three new ones. These will include the following:
Blaze Orange Metallic will be available on the CT4 Sport, CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing only. Meanwhile, Electric Blue will only be available on the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing. Dark Emerald Frost, exclusive to the CT4-V Blackwing will also have limited availability, according to Cadillac.com.
The 2022 Cadillac CT4 represents the third model year for the compact sedan and sees the introduction of the range-topping CT4-V Blackwing model. The CT4-V Blackwing produces 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque from its twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, which sends power to the rear wheels through a standard six-speed manual or optional GM 10-speed automatic. Prices for the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing start at $59,990 including destination and freight charges.
Standard Cadillac CT4 models will continue with the turbocharged 2.0L LSY gasoline engine, which makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The mild performance CT4-V model, meanwhile, sticks with its turbocharged 2.7L L3B gasoline engine, rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Both of these models are only offered with a GM 10-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel-drive or optional all-wheel-drive.
