2022 Chevy Tahoe And Suburban Get New 12-Inch Digital Driver Information Center

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban arrive as the second model year for the latest next-gen nameplates, introducing a few changes and updates over the completely overhauled 2021 model-year vehicles. One of these updates is the inclusion of a new 12-inch digital driver information center.

The new feature for the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban is tagged with RPO code UDV, and is officially called 12-inch Enhanced Multi-Color Digital Driver Information Center. The new 12-inch display is included as standard with LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country trim levels. The feature is not available with the LS trim level, which continues to come equipped with the 4.2-inch Driver Information Center with analog speedometer and tachometer (RPO code UDD).

Previously, the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban were equipped as standard with the 4.2-inch Driver Information Center with analog speedometer and tachometer (RPO code UDD) as standard across all trim levels, with the exception of the Premier and High Country, both of which were equipped with the 8-inch Enhanced Multi-Color Driver Information Center with analog speedometer and tachometer (RPO code UHS).

As GM Authority covered previously, the 2022 GMC Yukon is also equipped with the 12-inch Multi-Color Enhanced Driver Information Center, which is offered as standard for all trim levels. Previously, all 2021 GMC Yukon models came equipped with the 8-inch Diagonal Multi-Color Driver Information Center.

Further updates for the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban include the introduction of the new Off-Road Performance Package (RPO code RGN), which is offered as optional in conjunction with the Z71 trim level, and includes the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, as well as Dual Twin Polished Stainless-Steel Exhaust Tips (RPO code N10). The new Off-Road Performance Package requires selection of the Off-Road Capability Package (RPO code Z6E).

  • Gm should've offered the 8" information screen on the LS instead of the 4.2" screen. Nevertheless, this is a sensible response to the Jeep Wagoneer's arrival for 2022. The GM twins are the best looking behemoths SUVs period,

The Jeep Wagoneer's exterior is not impressive at all, only the very lavish looking interior. That being said, I personally believe that having a touch screens replacing practical buttons for certain basic functions can be catostrophic if the screens became compromised,

So with modern driver information systems for the GM twins, all GM needs to do now is to increase the horsepower output on all their engines for these behemoths including the 3.0 diesel, which should use two turbos instead of the single setup currently being offered.

  • Nice to see the new Suburban and Tahoe offering a fully digital instrument cluster, and not just having it reserved for the higher trimmed versions.

  • Your right I saw the Jeep Wagoneer on a dealer lot and I first thought it was the new Grand Cherokee... It looks nothing like a Wagoneer πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Žat least the Ford Expedition looks like a Ford and Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade look recognizable... It also looked to me like the Jeep was smaller then the Tahoe.

    • You may have saw the Grand Cherokee L which is more Traverse Sized, The Wagoneer is huge, i think it looks ok, theres something weird about the back windows though, like the couldnt think of a way to finish off the design and made it very Boxxy in the back.

      • Joe - agree with your thoughts on the way they've designed the rear of the Wagoneer. . . Something just looks off.
The Grand Cherokee L though - breathtaking design all around! Great stance and good looking proportions.

  • What I dislike about the looks of the GW is that it looks nothing like a traditional GW... It looks like every other Jeep with the same grill... You don't see the Tahoe looking like a traverse.

  • Tahoe and Suburban get 12” screen 2 years after being redesigned, trucks are stuck with cheap, crappy interior 4 years after redesign! Typical gm stupidity.
