The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will drop the Performance Package from its list of optional extras, which was offered on the new subcompact crossover for the 2021 model year.
The Performance Package is available on the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT trim level with front-wheel drive only and includes the turbocharged 1.3L L3T three-cylinder engine as well as Sport and Snow driving modes. The package, which costs $1,395, also bundles the equipment from the $345 Driver Confidence and $620 Convenience Packages.
The Driver Confidence Package includes the following features:
The Convenience Package, meanwhile, includes the following:
The main takeaway here is that the larger, more powerful 1.3L engine is no longer available on the Trailblazer LT with FWD. From now on, the only way to get the 1.3L engine in the Trailblazer LT trim level will be by adding all-wheel drive. For 2021, the Trailblazer LT AWD is priced from $26,695, which includes the 1.3L engine as standard and replaces the continuously variable transmission with the GM nine-speed automatic. Adding the Driver Confidence Package and Convenience Package to a 2021 Trailblazer LT AWD will raise the price to $27,660.
To be clear, the prices in this article are for the 2021 model year Chevy Trailblazer only. GM has yet to release full pricing for the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer, but we’re not expecting major deviations from the 2021 pricing structure.
As we reported previously, the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will also receive an optional heated steering wheel. A heated wheel was offered on the 2021 Trailblazer in Korea, but GM has now made a heated wheel available for American Trailblazer customers as well.

I think that will pose a problem for many who live in warm climates and do not need or want AWD. That alone could make potential Trailblazer customers look elsewhere...maybe Buick?
GM is an expert on saving money and making their products less competitive with other makes. They have been in decline for many years with less and less choices and ever dwindling market share.
Why is Blind Spot Monitoring still an option? Safety should be standard and BSM is an amazing tool to help new drivers.
NO REAR VENTS IS UNACCEPTABLE
Damn the bean counters.
