Heartland Customs Will Debut 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport At SEMA

As the 2017 SEMA show approaches, we’ll be flooded with countless concept and custom cars live from Las Vegas, Nevada. Heartland Customs is merely one company planning for a vehicle debut, but it will tackle a rarity: a C2 Corvette Grand Sport.

The custom shop plans to debut its modern 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport with an all-new chassis from Roadster Shop and a modern twist on the classic design, which the company previewed in the sketch above.

“Our goal,” custom builder Jeff Page told Super Chevy, “was to keep the look of the 1963 Grand Sport, but clean it up and add features and elements to bring it up to 2017 performance car level.”

The car still boasts undeniable C2 Corvette design, but modern touches such as the headlights, wheels, electronically controlled side-pipe exhausts and other components don the custom build. No word on what powers the 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport, but we’ll know soon enough. The 2017 SEMA show starts on October 31.
