Not much is known about the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, other than it will shrink in size to make room for a new midsize Chevrolet crossover as the brand rearranges its crossover strategy to cover its bases more effectively.
Here, The Fast Lane Car seems to have spotted what seems to be the 2017 Equinox wandering around General Motors development centers in Colorado, and the video gets a good look at the crossover’s overall shape and size.
The 2017 Equinox is still heavily camouflaged, showing very few details, but it’s clear the vehicle has become smaller, riding on General Motors D2XX platform. Although smaller, the 2017 Equinox’s greenhouse looks to still provide ample room with a tall profile.
Chevrolet has recently released a refresh of the current-generation Equinox to keep things updated until the new Equinox bows for the 2017 model year. News on the new midsize crossover to slot in between the Equinox and Traverse has been quiet thus far.
With four model years recommended for purchase.

Its anybodys guess , and these guys do this for a living . But when I look at the center of the front grill I see(?) what looks like the top of the Cadillac Crest !?! Its Monday folks .
All we really know is it's an SUV covered in camo. Could be anything and I'm guessing a Cadillac by the front end.
If that's a Cadillac, then the bean counters clearly took over and you can pretty much hang it up for Cadillac's comeback.
The wheels are very similar to a 2016 Chevy Equinox , so my guess its the new smaller 2017 Equinox .
It is a Nox.
If you spent anytime on the web you know it is common for many companies to use other emblems to throw off people chasing in cars for photo's.
Hell Pontiac 30 years ago used Subaru emblems on a early Fiero prototype. This is nothing new.
That would be reassuring.
It doesn't LOOK any smaller, just taller. Me thinks GM will have too many SUVs, all too similar.
Bring back Blaizer.
I agree! The Chevrolet brand alone will have four CUVs and one full-sized SUV (two if you count the Suburban separately). Then there's the onslaught of premium, and re-badged, versions to be produced by GMC, Buick and Cadillac. So yeah! The market will be very crowded with these particular vehicles! I understand the segment is very profitable right now, but this is quite ridiculous! It's like, why should companies even bother with producing sedans right now when the goldmine is CUVs?! LOL
Nevertheless, to avoid so much product overlap, GM would be wise to keep the Caddies RWD (maybe with the exception of one), and with dynamic riding and handling capabilities! With a world-class interior! The GMC brand should reintroduce the Blazer: built on the Canyon/Colorado platform with off-road capabilities. As for Buick, hopefully GM will have a distinct, modern and attractive styling language prepared. Thankfully, the Avenir design looks to be the direction of the Buick brand so GM should succeed there.
Not only the emblems but they also have done the same thing with the wheels .
It's a Cadillac .
A Cadillac compact crossover not based on the Alpha platform? GM can't be that stupid.
its not a caddy, the srx replacement the XT5 has already been unveiled, those wheels scream Chevy, the XT5 will be the last new car from caddy for at least 2 or 3 years from what caddy boss says.
If you guys thinks it's a Cadillac, I'm gonna go with the XT4.
