Chevrolet To Introduce Five Next-Generation Cars In 2015

Chevrolet has announced it will introduce five next-generation models this year during a press conference at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

General Motors product chief Mark Reuss confirmed the next-generation Cruze, Malibu, Camaro and Spark will all debut in 2015, in addition to the already unveiled 2016 Volt extended-range EV.

We’ve been seeing spy shots of pre-production versions of next-gen Cruze, Spark, Malibu and Camaro since last year. These models will likely be rolled out at the New York Auto Show in April and the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. The Chicago Auto Show is also a possibility for model unveilings, but it seems unlikely.

Chevrolet says 95 percent of its U.S. lineup will consist of all-new or heavily updated models by the end of this year. General Motors will also apply technology and other equipment updates to the full-size GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks this year in order to keep the models fresh.

  • I'm guessing the Cruze will be next in line for the reveal. I hope that the Cruze gets a hatchback and the Cascada's 200hp 1.6T as one of the engine choices. Wasn't there word around that a 7 speed DCT was supposed to come with the next-gen Cruze? How come the Sonic isn't part of the lineup of cars getting a new generation?
