We’re not sure if the Space Shuttle Endeavour had anything to do with the wide-body kit design of the Livernois Motorsports Stage 3 Camaro ZL1, but it’s ready to blast off like the shuttle once did. All around, the appearance of the factory Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is transformed to look even more intimidating than ever before.
This Stage 3 kit also has plenty of go to compliment the show, with dyno tests showing 715 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque to the rear tires. A factory ZL1 provides 509.54 horsepower and 500.62 pound-feet, according to dyno testing. Think about that for a second. Trying to fathom an extra 200-plus horsepower and 175 pound-feet to the tires over a factory ZL1 is hard to comprehend. Nucking futs, even.
How did Livernois do it? The list of upgrades is long, and includes CNC ported LSA cylinder heads, a Stage 2C high lift camshaft, LSA head studs, heat exchanger, a solid supercharger coupler and pulley, steel idler relocation bracket with METCO pulleys, high flow injectors, and dual fuel pump upgrade.
There’s also a massive METCO crankshaft pulley, an Innovators West oversized balancer, a Rotofab/Livernois cold air intake, NGK TR6 spark plugs, and American Racing longtube headers and connection pipe. Lastly, Livernois also fit a GM 90mm throttle body, a 160 degree thermostat, and a set of hardened pushrods to complete the package.
