The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is set to introduce a mid-cycle refresh complete with a long list of changes and updates, not the least of which are significant revisions to the exterior design. Those revisions include several changes to the rear end, setting the refreshed luxury SUV apart from pre-refresh models. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade rear-end design changes, courtesy of the following spy photos.
Starting at the top, we see a center high-mounted stop lamp (CHML) positioned just below the roof on the upper portion of the rear hatch, with the clear lens lighting up red when the brake pedal is pressed. Below the rear glass, the chrome strip accent that underlines the glass has been slimmed down, offering a sleeker look and complementing the relocated Cadillac badge, the latter of which is positioned just below the trim, rather than on top of it.
The refreshed hatch also incorporates a newly introduced chrome liftgate garnish. This particular feature can be seen on several 2025 Cadillac Escalade trim levels, including the Sport, despite the performance-flavored SUV’s traditional focus on dark trim.
The rear of the 2025 Escalade also introduces a revision to the bumper reflectors, which now incorporate a new trim garnish. Depending on the chosen trim level, the new garnish can appear in either a black or chrome finish. The taillights have also undergone a mild revision, as GM Authority covered more in-depth previously.
Finishing off the new rear end are revised bumper exhaust outlets, with the new outlets now showing off an inverted trapezoidal shape.
In addition to a new exterior design, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade will also feature a revised interior with a new 55-inch pillar-to-pillar infotainment screen, as well as camera-to-phone streaming capabilities. Powertrain options will include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine and 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, while the 2025 Escalade-V will cradle the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. The GM T1 platform will provide the underpinnings, and production will take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

There's nothing wrong with the pre-freshed rear end design. The refreshed seems just as nice if seen in person so this is take or leave it observation.
If I'm being completely honest the previous version is cleaner and simpler. I prefer it. When the changes are subtle like these are its better to make the comparison with EXACT same trim levels. Its the interior enhancements that will get Escalade owners to upgrade.
The pre-refreshed design looks much better.
it was perfect. escalade didnt need anything (except removing the fake shifter form the center to free up room)
a literal changes for the sake of changes thing here.
now the gmc and chev badges did need interiors, but externally, meh again
