The upcoming 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will wear a 1000E4 badge in the North American market, with the numbers indicating the model’s nominal torque rating in Newton-meters along with other details of its configuration.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will be the second Caddy vehicle to feature this type of badge in the US and Canada, with the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq already sporting a 600E4 badge in North America as we previously reported.
The 1000E4 badge uses the Cadillac torque-based alphanumeric naming convention, with 1,000 indicating maximum torque in Newton-meters. “E” stands for “electric,” showing the EV’s powertrain, while “4” means an all-wheel drivetrain. The actual torque figure is 1,064 Nm with the Velocity Max mode activated. This is the equivalent of 785 pound-feet of torque, while Velocity Max mode also yields 750 horsepower.
Per 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ specifications we previously published, driving in Normal Mode provides 680 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. Power is supplied by a dual-motor setup energized by a 24-module, 200 kWh Ultium battery pack with 800-volt DC quick-charge capabilities. Range is estimated at 450 miles on a full charge and the vehicle’s electric architecture should enable recharging 100 miles in 10 minutes.
As noted above, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq shares use of an alphanumeric badge with the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. The vehicle is designated 600E4 in North America while the same model wears a 700E4 badge in China. The discrepancy comes from a difference in output, as the Chinese-market boasts 524 pound-feet of standard torque versus the North American Lyriq’s 450 pound-foot rating. However, Cadillac Lyriq owners in the U.S. can purchase the Velocity powertrain upgrade that raises torque to 524 pound-feet.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ also features new, sleeker styling than its ICE counterpart, along with numerous tech features such as optional GM Super Cruise driver assist, and a curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch LED display.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will take place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Detroit, Michigan, likely sometime this summer. Starting MSRP will be $130,000, including destination freight charge.

The badges like this on the back of most current Cadillacs are idiotic and mean absolutely nothing to 99% of people.
People couldn't even figure out what the "442" stood for on the Oldsmobile and now they throw this at them? It is a sharp looking vehicle though.
Soooo stupid.
Back in 2020, I picked up my first brand new Cadillac (CT4) since 1998. It was a beautiful dark cherry with the whisper beige interior.
I got home with the car at about 5pm that day. The first thing I did was carefully remove the "CT4" and "250T" or "300T" junk from the trunk lid. Then I put a proper Cadillac script in the CT4's place. Ah, much better.
Goodbye Cadillac! It was nice knowing ya!
