This Lavish 2005 Chevy Kodiak Is Up For Sale In Texas

When it comes to Chevy’s current lineup of Chevy Silverado medium-duty trucks, the Silverado 4500 HD, Silverado 5500 HD, and Silverado 6500 HD currently stand as the Bow Tie brand’s commercial offerings. However, until those trucks were introduced for the 2019 model year, it was the Chevy Kodiak that filled this role up until 2009. Now, we have the opportunity to purchase this lavish 2005 Chevy Kodiak that was recently listed for sale.

Posted for sale online in Texas, this 2005 Chevy Kodiak is certainly unlike most MD trucks we’ve seen before. Originally purchased new in Colorado, this truck was taken to a shop in Houston, Texas to have an extensive list of modifications performed.

Starting with the exterior, this Kodiak features grafted-on Cadillac Escalade headlamps and fog lamps, custom bed rails, a truck bed, and striping. Rolling on 28-inch American Force wheels wrapped in new Lexani tires, this Kodiak rides on an air suspension that allows for its lowered look. Further goodies include a remote starter viper alarm and an Edge programmer that provides a decent bump in output.

Moving to the inside, the interior is all custom, along with a thumping audio system. The dashboard has been color-matched to the exterior paint job, while brown leather upholstery furnishes the seats.

In the powertrain department, this 2005 Kodiak is equipped with a Duramax turbodiesel engine, and only features 17,000 miles on the odometer. Notably, the seller notes that the engine bay and undercarriage are spotless.

It’s worth noting that the seller of this truck is asking for $150,000.

So, what do you think, dear reader? Is this 2005 Chevy Kodiak worth the astronomic asking price? Or is it overvalued given the truck’s intended purpose? Let us know what you think in the comment section below!

    • Not impressed with Danali, I am a utilitarian and prefer the truck to be purposed built not a glammer girl. Prefer Ride, power, 4WD and creature comforts for the road - pulling my trailer.

  • That truck is actually an international not a Chevy. There is also no such thing as a Chevy Kodiak. Also not worth anything close to 6 figures this hillbilly is smokin meth.

    • The Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC TopKick are a range of medium duty trucks that were produced by the Chevrolet and GMC divisions of General Motors from 1980 to 2009. Introduced as a variant of the medium-duty C/K truck line, three generations were produced. Slotted between the C/K trucks and the GMC Brigadier Class 8 conventional, the Kodiak/TopKick were developed as a basis for vocationally oriented trucks, including cargo haulers, dump trucks, and similar vehicles; on later generations, both cutaway and cowled-chassis variants were produced for bus use.

    • International only assembles the newer ones (2019 and up) under their CV model which is just the GM version with a different emblem on the steering wheel, grille and radio. Although they are entirely of GM parts.

    • Some folks are always ready to shoot off about things they don't know about, and in today's world with info at your finger tips, there's no reason.
Nice play on the extensive modifications. This is a creation of Bill Carlton's EKSTENSIVE METAL WORKS, better know a Texas Metal. Go to their website to view all the work that went into this puppy. $150k my be a great buy for someone who wants the real deal!

    • GM/Chevrolet co-developed the new Silverado Medium Duty family with Navistar. The trucks, comprised of the 2019 Silverado 4500HD, Silverado 5500HD and Silverado 6500HD, will be assembled at Navistar’s Springfield Assembly facility and will launch by the end of the second quarter of 2018.

  • Greg, I own a 2004 Chevrolet Kodiak, 5500 crew cab, so yes there is Kodiak's and the GMC Topkick

  • I would luv to buy this truck but not for a $150k if I'm going to spend $150k ill go buy a freightliner sport chassis and for $150k I can find a 2010 or 2015 used and make it way better but it is a nice truck if they come to there senses contract me ill give em $60k to $70k nothing more

  • Buy a used one for 21k, add the 35k worth of "accessories " put on and still save almost 100k. Not worth even close to their asking price.

  • I like it do I think it's worth 150k,maybe it's a custom vehicle and I think that's why the owner is asking that price,I recall back some years ago a celebrity purchased a vehicle very similar to this and I'm sure the price was close to this, and considering that the price of a HD Chevy or GMC fully loaded wouldn't be too far off from this it may not be a bad price, for someone who will use it or just want something different that says hey move over or get moved!

  • Thats a sick @ss truck be a bad @ss rig to tow whatever your lil heart would like .
