2023 Chevy Silverado HD Configurator Live

The online configurator tool for the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD has officially gone live on the American automaker’s website, allowing prospective buyers to select their preferred exterior and interior colors, apply their preferred options and equipment packages and view a complete pricing summary.

The Chevy Silverado HD lineup continues largely unchanged for 2023 over the preceding model year, with GM set to introduce a refreshed version of the full-size heavy-duty truck for the 2024 model year. The online configurator tool, therefore, does not contain any secrets or new equipment that Chevy Silverado HD fans are not already familiar with, however GM has raised the price of the truck by a further $1,000 across the board, as we reported previously. The base price of the truck now sits at $42,295, which applies to the entry-level 2500HD WT trim.

Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD is offered with two engine options, including the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 464 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm, as well as the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 445 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 910 pound-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm. Under the skin is the more-capable version of the GM T1 platform for full-size trucks and SUVs.

According to GM Authority sources, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD is set to kick off at the GM Oshawa plant on September 12th, 2022. Production of the Silverado HD at the GM Flint plant in Michigan began on July 18th, 2022.

  • Wish they'd complete the 2022 trucks still waiting for my heated seats and park assist retrofit

    • Fortunately they offer several model options including several GMC versions so almost everyone can find something they like, or don't like.

  • For all those who complain about the looks of this truck... I say at least it looks different then the non HD Silverado and until you see it in person pictures don't do it justice I saw one on the road it a handsome beffy looking truck...I can't wait to see the new 2024 model and improved interior and engines.

    • Yes, that would be mighty considerate of them but don't expect that to happen till they get in enough chips to continue new production and then retrofit early 22 models. Got an email saying they are working on the problem. Will getbthem this year I hope

  • They removed a key item for the 23 LT trim level. Power folding mirrors were included in the Z71 Sport Package on 22's and even though they offer them as a $545 option online they are no longer available. How do I know, I ordered a truck.
