2024 Chevy Silverado EV’s Seats Will Be Supplied By Lear Corporation

The seats in the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV will be supplied to General Motors by Michigan-based seat maker Lear Corporation.

Both the front and rear seats in the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV will be supplied by Lear, with both the front bucket seats and the rear bench seats set to be produced at the company’s new facility in Detroit. Lear designed the seat’s structure and adjustment mechanisms, along with the seating foam, trim, plastics and seatbelts.

The Lear-designed 40/60 split second-row seat in the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV offers four configurations, allowing users to fold the seats flat for added cargo capacity whilst also retaining one or two of the rear seats for passengers to sit in. The fold-flat second-row seat also combines with GM’s Multi-Flex Midgate, which collapses the bulkhead wall between the cabin and cargo space, expanding the bed surface area to just over 9 feet. The Silverado EV RST will also feature a unique second row with a tuck-and-tumble sequence, providing superior ergonomics for passengers when they are sitting in the bench seat.

Lear President and CEO Ray Scott said this partnership with GM is a continuation of its long-lasting relationship with the automaker. GM recognized Lear Corporation with a Supplier of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive year in 2021.

“With the most complete capabilities of any seating supplier in the world, Lear’s highly crafted, world-class seating solutions are helping Chevrolet reimagine its best-selling nameplate,” said Scott said. “We are honored to be named a General Motors’ Supplier of the Year for the last four years. Lear’s content on the Silverado EV is a continuation of the strong relationship we are proud to have with GM.”

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV will launch in the Work Truck (WT) trim level next spring. The Silverado EV RST First Edition will arrive shortly in the fall of 2023.

    • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
      WOKE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAH

So saving Money is Woke now? I'm sure the Oil Companies are happy to drain you dry with how high the Gas Prices are these days.

EVs are improving every day and are already much more powerful than ICE.
Won't take long until EVs can do everything HD Trucks can do without a sweat and with less cost to the owners pocket.

      • With the exception of the astronomical price tags for EVs. Most people can't afford $75,000 for a truck. Additionally, towing with an EV is ridiculous. Lucky to get 150 miles before having to recharge for at least 30 minutes to get another 120 miles of range (charging to 80%). My 2005 Silverado can go 250 miles towing an 8,000lb trailer and it takes me 5-7 minutes to refuel and be on my way for another 250 miles. By keeping my ICE truck running the $75K I'll save by not buying the EV version can buy over 17,000 gallons of gas (at $4.25/gal) good for over 300,000 miles of driving.

  • I wonder if I’ll live long enough to see the day Battery Manufacturers become the new evil oil companies?

    “Big battery” does flow nicely.

  • I wonder if the seats are rock hard like my 17 Denali? My 08 and 04 are much more comfortable.

    • Too bad that a leather 40/60 seat is not offered in the front. Very comfortable with lots of wiggle room.

  • Everybody who wants and is embracing EV's you will change your tune when it comes time to replace or have work done on an old or defective battery.....Just you wait!

    • it doesnt matter ,EVs are the future and much cheaper than gas cars , oil companies are sucking our blood dry and raise the prices as they wish ,dont you think thats enough reason to switch ? plus new EVs now have 10 years/ 100,000 miles warranty on the batteries

    • AL: Spot on with your comment. A Tesla owner who needed a replacement battery considered the current market value of his Tesla, ex battery, and with new battery. He evaluated the cost of a new replacement battery and it's removal and install which came out to price significantly about market value of his car. So he had the Tesla dynamite blown up and video recorded it. See video on U Tube.

  • 🤣 Awee nice deflection lol.
You must be a cornfed and inbred brainwashed Trumpty Dumpty supporting MAGA YANKEE! STAY DUMB FREEDUMB 🥴

    • Learn to use the reply button, in case you still can’t figure it out it’s the small white box bottom right corner grey writing click it then type. I know this is confusing I’m sorry it’s not more simple. People might take you more serious without all the emojis. Trump lost joe is the president so get over it.

    • Ahhh, you're a hard core Bidophile. Most incompetent President in history. Was handed an energy independent country and threw that all away to worship at the alter of his god, Climate Change. Let me clue you in. The climate has been changing since the Earth was formed. A receding glacier in Alaska recently revealed the remains of an old growth forest from 10,000 years ago. That means the climate in Alaska was warm enough to support deciduous trees growing for 100s of years.

  • I like the idea of an Ev and I'm a Chevy Silverado guy from way back. I have a few concerns: 1: As of right now (in my hometown), we have no charging station. 2: What is the cost of a new battery? I've heard they can be up to $20,000. 3: I also heard that it take about or up to an hour to charge. If it takes an hour to charge up I feel sorry for the guy behind me waiting to charge up his.

    • 1. Batteries have warranty of 8 years or 100k mile after that if they go bad they can cost you $15k to $20k to replace them.
      2. There are three different ways to charge an EV. first one and that’s level 1 is charging it for your home and it’s the longest it can take up to 24 hrs to charge. The second one and it’s level 2 it can take up to 7 hours. The third one and that’s level 3 is the fastest lvl3 in your home or from EV to go station and that takes up to 45 min to an hour
