GM Releases ‘No Way, Norway’ Super Bowl Ad Starring Will Ferrell: Video

General Motors has released the full version of its new Super Bowl advertisement starring Will Ferrell after teasing the new EV-focused ad campaign earlier this week.

The new ad campaign stars Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell as he discovers that the EV adoption rate in the tiny Nordic country of Norway is much higher than in the United States. The campaign is an extension of GM’s previously announced ‘Everybody In’ ad campaign, which aims to raise EV awareness and put the spotlight on GM’s upcoming battery-electric products.

GM released an extended-length 90-second version of the ‘No Way, Norway’ big game ad this week, which is for online audiences only. The extended version of the ad shows Ferell convincing fellow celebrities Keenan Thompson and Awkwafina to join him on a pilgrimage to Norway to learn more about its electric vehicle adoption rate. The ad also features the Cadillac Lyriq show car, which previews the upcoming Lyriq production vehicle that will launch early next year, as well as the GMC Hummer EV.

“Today, General Motors released its big game ad, starring Will Ferrell, who discovers Norway far outpaces the United States in electric vehicle adoption,” GM said in a press release. “In the commercial, “No Way, Norway,” Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina join Ferrell on his action-packed journey to give Norwegians a piece of his mind. A 60-second version of the ad will air during the first quarter.”

GM marketing officer Deborah Wahl said the automaker shares “Norway’s pursuit of an all-electric future,” and believes Super Bowl LV is the perfect venue to promote its new-found focus on EVs.

Norway has the highest per-capita EV ownership rate in the world, with battery-powered vehicles enjoying an impressive 54% market share in the nation. In the U.S., meanwhile, EVs account for just four percent of the market share. GM hopes this will change in the coming years as it introduces more battery-powered cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs powered by its Ultium batteries and Ultium Drive electric motors.

  • Why are you yelling at your burner account, Nunya? You think people are fooled by your stupid game?

  • @Nebula

Sorry to drag you into this, dude lol. This moron has been trolling around here between his "Nunya Budniz" and "GM is better" accounts like an ass, trying to be both far left and far right to piss people off. He screwed up when he replied to me with the same exact answer from both handles lmao. Gotta love computer glitches, they tend to weed out the dumbass frauds among us.

I have never come across someone in my entire life who has less of a life himself than this schmuck.
