Since 2016, Chevrolet has sold the Cavalier in China, and last Tuesday, the brand announced a new Cavalier variant: the 325T.
The Chevrolet Cavalier 325T will boast a frugal 1.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 118 horsepower and 122 pound-feet of torque. With a six-speed automatic transmission, the Cavalier will sip just 1.3 gallons of fuel for every 62 miles driven, per GM estimates.
Cavalier 325T models don’t differ much from other Cavalier variants, but all sport rather good-looking flowing lines, and the car offers a handful of premium technologies. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, surround-audio system and an air filter.
Don’t expect to see the Cavalier return to North America, but in China, it’s been a smash hit. Since 2016, Chevrolet has sold 240,000 of them.

To my eyes... more attractive than our current Cruze. Shrink the bowtie, upsize the wheels, and make sure it was the most spacious of compacts... it would sell better in the USA than the now-Korean-inspired Cruze.
Totally agree... That's more how our 2nd gen Cruze should have looked. The 1st gen looked like a sporty little BMW and was very classy. Both the side and rear profiles were perfect, it just needed a nicer front end IMO. This is the nicer front end.
What we got instead is just not a great looking car unfortunately.
Er, didn't GM Korea design the first Cruze and GM USA did the latest gen Cruze? I'll take first gen over the current gen any day.
Matt and I are referring to design language. The latest Cruze looks very Korean, a copy of old Hyundai design language. We are in total agreement that the first gen looked better.
China's Chevrolet Cavalier 325T with a turbocharged 1.0L 3-cyl engine makes 118 horsepower and 122 pound-feet of torque that sips 1.3 gallons of gas for 62 miles which breaks down to 47.69 miles-per-gallon mileage which is close to the Chevy Cruze 52 mpg of the 1.6L turbodiesel; one has to think Chevrolet may offer this 1.0L DOHC-4v 3-cyl turbo match to a 9-speed automatic for the Cruze Eco model and in theory get near 50 mpg mileage (performance may not suffer too much with acceleration helped with by a mild-hybrid to give nice off-the-line acceleration).
It has an air filter. Don’t all cars have a air filter. is an air filter optional in China?
no doubt
...for the cabin.
Handsome in a non cookie cutter sort of way.
