2017 Chevrolet Malibu Redline Edition Spruces Up The Midsize Sedan

The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu isn’t the sportiest kid on the block, but the Redline edition at least aims to make it look the part.

Chevrolet revealed a bushel of Redline edition vehicles at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show and it includes the 2017 Malibu. The Redline edition is applied to the Malibu LT trim, in which it receives all standard LT equipment plus black wheels featuring distinct red hash marks, black nameplates with a red outline, blacked-out grilles and black Chevrolet bowtie logos.

“Redline is another example of Chevrolet bringing SEMA concepts to showrooms,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet. “The SEMA show has proven to be a great way to identify customization trends in the industry, and quickly apply those trends to our most popular Chevrolet models. Based on the strong interest Redline attracted at the show, we believe they will be very popular with customers looking for standout cars, trucks, and crossovers.”

We saw the Redline idea came to life as a Malibu concept vehicle nearly two years ago at the 2015 SEMA Show. Following the introduction, Chevrolet says public response was quite positive for the sedan. Thus, here we have it.

The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu Redline edition will be available later this year, but if you can’t wait, you may place an order for a 2017 Silverado Redline as you read this.
