Once upon a time, the Hummer was a status symbol, before becoming semi diluted within General Motors. Commoners will remember the H2, but Hummer enthusiasts know the H1 is the real deal. But, did you know Tupac owned one?
Indeed he did, and it’s heading to auction. RR Auctions will offer the late rapper’s 1996 Hummer H1, the last vehicle he owned before his death. Or, disappearance if you’re into conspiracy theories. Tupac put his own touch to the 1996 Hummer H1, customizing it with 38″ Dick Cepek off-road lights, a 360-degree spotlight, a grille guard, diamond-plate bumpers, GC Package oversized off-road wheels and tires, and an external PA system with three sirens.
Inside, the interior is trimmed in burl wood with beige leather upholstery and provides a very 1990s-esque, 12-disc CD player and a Sony GPS.
The Hummer was put into storage following Tupac’s death, until it was raffled off in 2003 by BET in the ‘Picture Me Rollin’’ sweepstakes, and then later purchased back in 2007 by Havenotz Entertainment owners Sardar ‘Candyman 187’ Khan and Yaasmyn Fula.
But, the history, 6.5-liter turbo diesel V8 engine and all the aforementioned goodies can be yours if you happen to put down the highest bid.
