General Motors is remaining optimistic when it comes to the Chinese market. According to The Detroit News, the automaker is still expecting a three- to five-percent growth through the year 2020.
Matt Tsien, GM’s China president, told executives during a roundtable discussion with reporters it will not change its current investment plans in the country, which is also GM’s largest sales market. 37-percent of the automaker’s sales come from China, even with the economic conditions maturing.
As of recent, GM’s sales statistics have fallen short of industry averages in the country, which hover around six-percent. However, Tsien stated April sales are projected to “shape up to be a pretty good month.” Within the next four years, GM will launch 60 new or refreshed vehicles in China. And, surprise, 40-percent of them will be crossovers or utility vehicles.
All of this news follows GM CEO Mary Barra’s plan to invest $14 billion into new vehicles for China through 2018, which was announced last year.

Hello GM. It's me. I've been gone for 15 years and came back. We had a 4 door Infiniti in which we leased as a back up vehicle for a spare to our Infiniti QX80- which buy the way when I shopped for a Denali they laughed at me for a deal so the rest is history. So we decided to turn our perfect car in due to our growing family and a back up vehicle to tow our 38 foot camper so I went to the local GMC lot. Found a 2016 GMC Denali 1500 with 2k on it. What a stunning looking truck - without a doubt nothing in its catergory remotely can compare to its good looks. Well I couldn't beat the price. It was sold for one month and at 49g for the ultimate Denali package I was sold- or rather it was. It has the 5.3 not the 6.2 but it would do the job. This is a spare anyway. Over the last few months I've gotten acquainted with the truck. I love the efficiency- when you buy premium gas for a rediculously inefficient SUV you breath a sigh of relief. I however found myself hot or cold in the back seats. No in between. GM forgot to put vents on the center stack. I looked to see if there were perforated cuts in the plastic and there wasn't. Hmmmmm. Weird. Infiniti has spoiled me- wait so did the Kia rental with that push button start. It's a convenience. The thumping of the key fob on the steering column is ok when the stereo is so loud I can't hear it. I was at a red light and thought we were having an earthquake. I found out soon after it was only my oil saturated intake. Who designed this? My 5.6 Infiniti is a DI engine as well and oil doesn't not get injested. 32k perfect idled miles. I'm not here to start a fight but I can assure you as soon as my bank account gets my desired down payment I will be looking into the Ford F-150 limited. I can get past the looks. I bought the Infiniti. The f150 is the most passenger and rear seat friendly 1/2 ton out there. All the trucks in this money segment far exceeds the GMC Denali. GM makes a nice looking truck tho.........that's about it.
