General Motors CEO Mary Barra Gets Social, Joins Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg, founder and creator of the social media site Facebook, recently told his followers last week that one billion human beings on the planet use Facebook for in a single day for the firs time. As The Detroit Free Press points out, that’s one out of seven people inhabiting the earth.

The latest face to join the book? General Motors CEO, Mary Barra.

Barra has officially created her own page saying, “Hello, Facebook! After a conversation with Sheryl Sandberg at Facebook HQ last week, I decided it was time to create a page. I look forward to sharing photos, updates and stories with you,” in her first official post to the social media network.

She also wasn’t afraid to touch some sensitive subjects in another update stating, “While visiting Menlo Park, I was inspired by all the posters on campus — particularly ‘Nothing at Facebook is somebody else’s problem’ and ‘Let’s kick the sh– out of option B.” What sayings inspire you?”

The profane word also wasn’t hyphened out.

Barra is listed as a public figure on the site, and you can find her official page at the link here.
