2025 Cadillac CT4-V Gets New Typhoon Metallic Color: First Look

With the exception of paint colors, where GM is retiring three paints offered on the nameplate during 2024 and offering three new hues in their place, the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V gets only minor changes. The new paint colors consist of Deep Space Metallic, Drift Metallic and Typhoon Metallic. The Typhoon Metallic color is in the spotlight in this article.

Typhoon Metallic carries color code GBW and touch-up paint number WA-235K for identification purposes. The paint is one of nine the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V can be optioned with, and is a light to medium metallic sea green color. The full paint lineup for the CT4-V is as follows:

  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Black Raven (GBA)
  • Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
  • Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Summit White (GAZ)
  • Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
  • Drift Metallic (GAE – new for 2025)
  • Typhoon Metallic (GBW – new for 2025)

The 2025 Cadillac CT4-V, as GM Authority revealed earlier, is priced at $48,690 when equipped with RWD and $49,790 if configured with AWD. These prices include a destination freight charge amounting to $1,395. The official configurator on the Caddy website is live and ready to work out different builds.

One engine, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, supplies motivation to the luxury sedan. The GM 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with this powerplant. Maximum speed of 156 mph is complemented by acceleration that gives the vehicle a sporty zero-to-sixty time of 4.8 seconds.

  1. Whoever is picking these horrendous colors needs a trip to the eye doctor. The last 5 years has been an absolute color palette disaster at GM.

  2. Looks great here, but it seems that they always look different in person. Unfortunately, it seems that most people don’t like green so it will probably be gone in a year or two. Modern cars should have more color choices like they did in the past. For example, ’69 Camaros had 18 single plus 6 two tone color choices. There is room for improvement.

    1. we love green, we asked our car to be green, but they offered only white or blue, so we took it in blue

  4. I’ve said it before and will continue to say it…hoping others will jump on my bandwagon too and we can get some change around here.

As the self-proclaimed “GM Authority”, why do you continue to use these CGI generated images for your “first look” series? A TRUE first look would provide real world images instead. An Authority source of any kind would do better journalism, this is just lazy.

    1. When they use a real photo of the real car they “lighten it” for print or screen.

      1. Still better and more realistic than a CGI imo.

  5. They are always darker in person. Just like Radiant Red, it’s DARK Red on the car.
If they look better 4 times CGI Lightened, why not paint them that color at the Assembly Plant? GM ??? …. no answer .

  6. There is one thing I have to say here, Cadillac does some of the paint finishes I have ever seen out of any car company (not counting super luxury brands like Bentley and Rolls).

I absolutely love the Dark Moon Blue in my XT5 and love how many think its black at first glance and I have to tell them its blue only for them to see it in the light and realize it actually is blue. The same effect happens with the Emerald Lake but shines green, which looks great on the Lyriq. I also remember getting a loaner XT5 in Rosewood Metallic when they were replacing the weather stripping in my sunroof and found it nice how it would look brown but at certain angles the light made it look reddish in color.

I’m sure this color will look awesome in person.

  7. Wish you could get the Sangria color interior with the CT5-V BW. Why it’s on an option on non BW trim levels is beyond me.

  8. For modern day cars, that’s a nice verity of exterior colors. However, since the most basic vehicle GM makes and and the vast majority are sold in, Summit White, you’d think GM’s premium brand would not use the same name for the caddy’s white paint. Cadillacs are just Chevys with a different logo.
