Chevrolet has increased its discounts on the Aveo, Cruze, Orland, and Captiva in Russia, making the vehicles as much as 490,000 Rubles ($8,930 USD) more affordable. The offers come amid a continued slump in the Russian economy as a result of sanctions imposed by the west over the country’s conflict in Ukraine.

The discounts make the Cruze sedan with the 1.6L engine making 109 horsepower mated to a manual transmission available for a mere 543,000 Rubles, or $9,904 USD by today’s conversion. Meanwhile, the discounts give the Aveo hatchback with the 1.6L engine, automatic transmission, and top-line LTZ trim level a price of 553,000 rubles ($10,087 USD).
In addition, Chevrolet Russia also has a special offer on the purchase of winter wheel and tire package for the Aveo. The offer includes a set of 15-inch wheels wrapped in studded Michelin tires for 10,000 Rubles for the price of 10,000 rubles (a mere $182 USD).
