Vauxhall Heritage Center To Hold Open House Celebrating Trio Of Milestones

Vauxhall is preparing for its annual open house day at the Vauxhall Heritage Center but, this year, the British brand will be celebrating three milestones for patrons to partake in.

Visitors will be treated to the sites of yore in Luton, as 60 years of Vauxhall motoring history is displayed. The vehicles will range from vintage, to post-war Vauxhalls, including the three vehicles being memorialized this year.

This year, Vauxhall will celebrate 40 years since the iconic Cavalier launched in the United Kingdom. The Vauxhall Cavalier set an entirely new precedent for how a family car should look, drive and behave. Also celebrating its 40th anniversary is the Vauxhall Chevette, the brand’s first take on a GM world-car platform.

The Vauxhall Chevette became instrumental in reviving the Vauxhall image in world already populated with impressive small vehicles.

Finally, the Vauxhall Lotus Carlton will celebrate its 25th anniversary. During its time, the Lotus Carlton was praised, and bestowed the title “Fastest Four-Door,” with the ability to reach 176 mph.

Besides these major milestones, guests will also be treated to modern day vehicles, and a number of unique concept cars from over the years.

The event will begin at 10am, and run until 4pm on Sunday, June 14.
