Vauxhall Prices 2015 Corsa VXR At £17,995

It’s been a second since we had any updates on the 2015 Vauxhall Corsa VXR (Opel Corsa OPC) after it was officially unveiled back in February, but today we’re happy to share with you some more details. Namely, how much the Vauxhall model will cost: £17,995.

Like the OPC, the VXR gets a turbocharged 1.6L (1598cc) turbo four-cylinder that kicks-out a respectable 208hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to launch it to 60mph in just 6.5 seconds. Find a nice stretch of tarmac and you’ll be able to wind it all the way up to 143mph.

Your £17,995 ($19,000 USD) will also get you a rear spoiler, twin Remus exhaust pipes, Recaro race buckets, short-throw six-speed manual, three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, plus VXR trim pieces on the gear-lever and instrument panel. Not to mention, a lot of fun for the dollar, if it moves anything like the Ford Fiesta ST.

If you’re keen to see how the hot hatch copes with your Scandinavian flick you’re best to spec the optional VXR Performance Package, which brings sharper chassis dynamics, larger Brembo brakes up-front (380mm), 18-inch alloys, more focused FSD dampers and, crucially, a Drexler limited-limited slip differential.

The new Vauxhall Corsa VXR will join the rest of the VXR line–Astra VXR, Insignia VXR and VXR8 GTS– in May.
