Ken Lingenfelter is known as a Corvette tuner par excellence, following in his father’s footsteps of taking even the most pedestrian of General Motors’ small-block cars (Buick Estate Wagon, anyone?) and making them scream (not to mention handle). He’s also known for the Lingenfelter Collection, his car collection that will be open to the public for the Fall Open House for Breast Cancer Awareness this weekend.
About 200 cars are expected to be on display for your pleasure including plenty of Corvettes (like a rare 1953 supercharged Corvette, a 1955 Duntov test mule, and a 2010 Lingenfelter-powered ZR1), exotics, and American muscle (how does a 1970 LS6 El Camino SS 454 grab ya?). Lingenfelter says he has a 40/30/30 distribution so there’s plenty for folks of different stripes to enjoy.
The Fall Open House for Breast Cancer Awareness will be held at 7819 Lochlin Drive, Brighton, MI 48116 on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free, but you’re encouraged to contribute to the breast cancer cause with proceeds going to The Pink Fund, which helps breast cancer patients in need − they help with things like 90 days of direct financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses such as transportation, utilities, and even health insurance premiums. Please call 248-486-5342 for more information.
