Here’s When 2025 Corvette ZR1 Ordering Will Open

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 got its big debut over the summer, with General Motors unveiling the fastest, most powerful production Vette ever made. No doubt, the new ZR1 is a hugely desirable machine, and there’s likely a legion of fans out there salivating at the thought of parking one in their driveway. Now, GM Authority has learned when 2025 Corvette ZR1 ordering will open.

According to sources familiar with the matter, General Motors has informed dealers that it will start taking 2025 Corvette ZR1 orders in February of the 2025 calendar year. In other words, first consensus and ordering are currently scheduled to kick off this coming February. No further information has been shared at this time.

Of course, one of the biggest questions that remains unanswered is the price. Although GM has yet to release an official MSRP number, the majority of GM Authority readers believe it will lie between $175,000 and $200,000, as recorded in a GM Authority poll.

Production will also be relatively “limited,” though not artificially so, per Corvette Production Marketing Manager Harlan Charles.

“I can’t really give numbers but I can say that [production of the new C8 ZR1] will be limited, though not necessarily like we’re limiting it to a number,” Charles told GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft during the C8 ZR1 reveal event. “It will be limited by the components and the supply that we have.”

Indeed, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 is shaping up to be quite impressive. In addition to a new exterior style that offers an iconic split rear window design and an optional high-downforce aero kit, the new ZR1 is motivated by the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 gasoline engine, which is rated at 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. Making the boost are the largest passenger car twin turbochargers currently on the market. Top speed is in excess of 230 mph.

Under the skin, all C8 variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

  4. What an amazing car. The only I dislike is the back window. I understand the 63 split window thing but hate the look.
I did the build and price thing and to replace my 23 ZO6/ZO7 as a 2025 it came to $179,179.00 before sales tax and the extra tires and wheels so I don’t have to run my CF wheels and Cup 2 Rs daily. Another $8,000.00. Apples to apples I’m looking at a very expensive car. I’m guessing out of my price range anyway, really happy for the people who can afford one, wish I could.

  5. I agree completely ! The rear hatch windows and vents won’t last long ! They should have done away with the rear glass altogether. There is a camera there anyway. By the way I have a hard time using with my bifocals . I’m not an engineer but I would think a larger vent at the top or bottom of the window would have had equal function and the visible out the window would have been better ?

  10. I spoke with 2 Atlanta dealers. First one told me they are not taking orders nor taking interested parties names. Further told me that the dealer owner was purchasing everyone they are allotted. The 2nd dealer said they will take names and contact them when their allocation arrived then would take the highest bid then require $10k NON refundable deposit.

  11. Shouldn’t the front electric drive wheels be added for even more power and speed or add that option to the Cadillac XLR version at a $250,000.00 price point and 1400 horsepower an ultimate supercar in a GM Chevrolet Cadillac product as well move in to Formula One with a bang in 2025?
