General Motors will announce its financial results for the second quarter of 2014 on Thursday, July 24th at about 7:30 a.m. Eastern time.
Due to the vast amount of recalls issued by the automaker over the last quarter, GM is expected to take a hit in earnings in the short term, with street estimates placing earnings per share at $0.91. Just a month ago, analysts predicted that GM would earn $0.96 per share, with that number being $1.13 three months ago. Some analysts, however, believe that the costs associated with GM’s recalls will be smaller compared to the gains the company has made in improving the top line of its business in North America, China, and Europe.
GM Authority will be on hand to cover the financial results as they happen, so stay tuned glued to our home page for the earnings report on July 24th as well as more GM News from around the world.
