Chevrolet will be a major sponsor for the South by Southwest Festival for the fifth consecutive year. The event will be held March 7-16 and will feature advanced technologies, music showcases and speakers for attendees. Additionally, spectators will be among the first of people to experience Chevrolet’s all-new in-vehicle 4G LTE powered by OnStar during the SXSW Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center from March 9-12.
“Chevrolet will share our passion for technology with conference-goers at South by Southwest and looks forward to continuing the conversations that inspire us to create advanced products and services for our customers,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing.
Chevrolet and General Motors executives will also participate in a panel discussion about the new developments in technology that enhance the consumer’s experience. The panelists include Mary Henige, director of Social Media and Digital Communications for General Motors; Andrew Dinsdale, Digital, Social and CRM lead for Chevrolet; Rebecca Harris, Social Media Center of Excellence lead for General Motors and Steve Schwinke, director of Application Development, Global Connected Consumer for General Motors.
Attendees of SXSW can also rely on “Catch A Chevy” to beat the Austin heat during the event. Complimentary rides will be available on March 7 from 11 AM to 9 PM., March 8–11 from 9 PM to 9 PM., and March 12–15 from 11 PM to 8 PM
Furthermore, the Chevrolet Tweet House returns to SXSW to feature panel discussions how innovative startups can succeed while focusing on the people who are creating and proclaiming future-defining technologies. The event will be held on Saturday, March 8 at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop.
