Automotive insurance agency, Hagerty, has once again released its annual list of future classics, the Hot List. In order to be considered for the 2014 Hot List, the car must be a 2014 model year and carry an MSRP of $100,000 or less.
“Most new car news focuses on the latest interactive technology, alternative power sources, and the race to increased efficiency,” said McKeel Hagerty, President and CEO of Hagerty. “But for a car to be collectible in the future, it has to be cool right off the assembly line. A collectible car has to grab you and not let you go.”
If there is one car that grabbed us and didn’t let go in the 2014 model year, it’s the 2014 Corvette Stingray, which came in at number 6 on the top ten list. Seeing as Corvettes are one of the most widely collected vehicles in the U.S, it’s obvious why the latest and greatest out of Bowling Green was able to earn itself a spot.
Beating the Corvette in its future desirability is the 2014 COPO Camaro, coming in at number 3 on the list. Seeing as how Chevrolet only made 69 examples of the drag-ready Camaro in 2013, it’s basically guaranteed a spot on the Hot List. If you need any further proof this will be a valuable collectible in years to come, a 2013 model recently sold at Barrett Jackson for $137, 500.
Edging out the COPO Camaro for first and second place were the Jaguar F-Type R and BMW F10 M5. We can see it in the Jag, but we’re not sold on the M.

But the model is still dead last in its competitive set.
