Paul Jr. Designs Teams Up With Trans American Muscle To Build Custom Camaros

Paul Teutul Jr. is taking a step from boutique motorcycles into the automotive customization realm with his company coming up with a special Chevy Camaro package.

Partnering with Trans American Muscle, Paul Jr. Designs is putting its own touch on the Camaro inside-out and everything in between. Inspired by WWII fighter planes, the sheetmetal is garnished with custom metal paneling and real aircraft rivets over matte black paint, while the factory shifter is replaced by one mimicking a joystick, complete with a red button at the top. We wonder if it fires missiles…

PJD also fitted their first custom Camaro’s LS3 V8 with a 2.9L Whipple supercharger, Forgiato 22″ wheels, SLP sub-frame connectors and exhaust, and custom stitching on the seats. If this all sounds like it needs to be in your garage, PJD is building only 77 of them. So get to ordering one via Trans American Muscle ASAP.

  • that's one seriously ugly car. i'm no big fan of Paul Sr, or Jr's Bikes, but at least the aesthetics of the bikes is somewhat pleasing. this however, is an eye sore.

  • I saw the re-run last night. As much as I am a fan of the show (10 years now?), I must say that I was quite disappointed with this last build. I don't want to make rude and obnoxious remarks. However, what the HECK was Paul and T.A.M. thinking with this car? It was quite a disappointment to say the least. Nothing special about that car. Anyone could do that (Why? Is another issue in itself.) Furthermore, you would think that PJD would have thought about adding a custom performance BRAKING system for all that power? Maybe some hood vents and side gills as well? A rear diffuser? A front lip? The list goes on and on in comparison to what PJD's "kit" includes.
I think Senior's 2011 Pontiac Trans Am Hurst Edition looks 1000000x better.
    Unique and stylish.
I don't think it's too late to make some changes to this kit, but who am I? Just a fan of the show with an opinion. I respect Jr. for stepping out of his "comfort zone", but that's about it. If he's trying to do new things like this, and AMP it up the way he portrayed it, he really needs to step up his game about 100 levels and rethink this whole thing, because I don't see this car selling, especially for $84K.
(For the record, I NEVER write stuff like this on the net, however this recent episode bugged the heck out of me and I had to vent.. Lol.)
Best of luck regardless. Love the show!

    • Char11, it's funny you mention many of the flaws of this particular episode. it reminds me of one of the primary issues I've ALWAYS had with Paul Jr. is no matter how many bikes he's "designed" and i use that term very loosely, he can never shake the aura of a non car/ motorcycle guy trying hard to play the part. you can see it in his designs. in fact the whole "theme" realm of car and transportation customization is merely the defacing of perfectly good vehicles as a "theme" is plastered all over a object of motion. anyone with a good eye for design or appreciation for vehicles would always look to enhance or showcase the fact that this IS a object meant to move.

Most of Paulys designs don't do either. more often than not, you get the feeling that this 800-1000lbs motorcycle is just some poor unfortunate lump of metal that just happened to have wheels and an engine, and was forced to wear all this extra sh#t. sorta like a pretty girl wearing too much make up and jewelry, while also wrapped in a dress and shoes that are 4 sizes too big; with some arbitrary "theme" plastered all over the whole outfit in an attempt to bring it all together.

his best work has always been the bikes that could stand completely apart from their theme. they looked like awesome bikes first, and then on closer inspection you'd notice small little touches that revealed the "theme".

then again, i can't help but look sideways at a guy who has been "building" bikes for a significant part of his life yet can't turn a wrench on engine or even figure out how to get one to run (as shown on many an episode.)

  • not only is that car butt ugly and full of holes, his last few bikes have the same after-
market front ends, fenders and same tanks, just different paint.he's losing it.
