Nowicki Autosport, a Michigan-based specialist in automotive customization, recently showcased its latest build – the C8 Corvette Concept8. Strutting its stuff at the recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nowicki’s C8 Corvette Concept8 leverages the company’s expertise in composites and vehicle design, all while taking the Corvette’s already sharp styling to a whole new level with a range of custom carbon fiber enhancements. Now, we’re getting a closer look with the following video straight from the SEMA Show floor.
The Concept8 showcases a range of bespoke carbon fiber components, including a new front splitter, dual-plane grille trim, a raised center section hood, and reworked rocker panels. Each component is crafted using Proxxima’s advanced high-strength resin technology, which offers superior durability, aerodynamics, and an environmentally conscious footprint thanks to the Proxxima R3630 C32 polyolefin thermoset resin system and resin transfer molding technology from McClarin.
Proxxima’s resin system reduces carbon emissions by up to 60 percent compared to conventional resins, aligning with the demands of high-performance and sustainability.
“Each component showcases Proxxima’s high-strength resin technology and McClarin’s RTM engineering, enhancing aerodynamics, resilience, and aesthetics” Nowicki states.
Complementing the composite body pieces, the Corvette Concept8 also sports eye-catching details like vibrant red paint paired with striking gold split-spoke wheels, under which is a set of large Brembo brakes in matching red coloring. The Stingray logo has been subtly added to the doors, once again in carbon, while the rear features a carbon fiber wing. The sideview mirrors and intake components in the engine bay also bring plenty of that tasty carbon good stuff.
