Alpheon eAssist Launches In Korea

We can’t really call it a Daewoo anymore. But it’s clearly not marked as a Chevrolet, or even a Buick for that matter. It’s just an Alpheon now, or so it seems.

Whatever you want to call it, the large sedan is now offering GM’s eAssist mild hybrid system in its South Korean market. The Alpheon eAssist rates at 33.2 mpg on the U.S. cycle — a fantastic number for a car as large as it is (it’s a Buick LaCrosse in America if you haven’t figured that out by now). Pricing has yet to be announced. If you’re looking for a deeper dive on how such a vehicle drives, check out our first drive review of the Buick LaCrosse eAssist.
