General Motors refreshed the fifth-generation GMC Yukon full-size SUV for the 2025 model year, debuting a long list of updates and changes for the exterior styling, interior design, technology feature list, and trim level hierarchy. To this latter point, the 2025 GMC Yukon now offers the new Yukon AT4 Ultimate, slotting in above the “standard” Yukon AT4 as a more luxurious option for buyers still after the AT4’s off-roading capabilities. But that still leaves one question unanswered – what exactly is a 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate?
The refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon is the first GMC model to offer the new AT4 Ultimate trim, dropping in as a more off-road-oriented counterpart to the highly luxurious Denali Ultimate. Breaking it down, we find that the Yukon AT4 Ultimate incorporates a variety of standard features normally offered as optional on the non-Ultimate AT4, as well as a few unique features to boot.

I thought GM was dropping trim levels. This one is absurd.
Why not add the engine as an option, and add an "ultimate package" instead of creating a new trim level. Or, just bring back the SLT, the best trim level out of the suburbans and Yukons.
It's Perfect
