Cadillac recently unveiled its latest concept vehicle, introducing the world to the all-electric Cadillac Opulent Velocity. This futuristic hypercar aims to blend the effortless luxury of a fully autonomous vehicle with the adrenaline-pumping excitement of a high-powered performance machine. That all said, we want to know – does the Opulent Velocity hit the mark, or is it a miss?
Starting with the exterior, the Cadillac Opulent Velocity draws inspiration from the brand’s V-Series.R hybrid race cars and motorsport efforts. The result is a low, sleek body that hovers on top of massive, technical-looking wheels, adding to its formidable stance. The car’s dramatic butterfly doors hinge upward, creating a sense of theater every time they are opened. The body panels are coated in a paint color named Gilded Pearl, giving it a velvety texture, while other standout features include vertical lighting elements, an illuminated 3D grille, and intricate crystal fluting, all of which contribute to a high-end, futuristic aesthetic.
The interior aesthetic provides a good match, presenting a 2+2 seating arrangement that places two captain’s chairs up front and a curved bench seat in the rear. The interior design is angular and streamlined, featuring a Y-shaped steering wheel and fully digital instrumentation. Cadillac also incorporated 3D-printed components and other fine details to give the Opulent Velocity a cutting-edge, sci-fi feel in line with the exterior.
There’s no doubt that the Cadillac Opulent Velocity is a striking vehicle, but opinions on its design may vary. And that’s where you come in, dear reader. We want to know what you think – does the Cadillac Opulent Velocity concept embody the future of luxury and performance, or does it fall short? Cast your vote in the poll below and let us know if you think it’s hot, or not.

This is to get the attention of the European market.
Lots of Renault styling cues.
Refreshed front from the 2016 Renault ‘Trezor’ concept.
Really need more pictures to say.
Looks like a C7 concept. The CT5 is NOT an Escala, the Celestique is meh, the Sollei is closer ...you guys need to call Ed Welburn.
Love it very much, its awesome. The corners at the front just needs to be toned down a little.
Cadillac is great at sketching/building concept cars, but not so good at producing them for sale.
This is an absolute knockout! Almost makes up for the mess that is the Celestique.
Hope they build it but probably won't since it's not an SUV.
This just one more beautiful Concepts that will never see production. Cadillac needs to get off its ass and start building cars that people will actually buy and stop wasting time and money on concepts that are DOA and ridiculous cars like the $300,000 Celestiq.
Hey Cadillac, How about placing in production a real Cadillac: a CT6 or CT8 with AWD featuring a twin turbo V6 or V8.
Give it a genuine Cadillac interior and watch it sell. Please!
It is awesome but I will only buy it for my wife if I can order one with ICE Blackwing drive train…!!!
What is this concept competing with if it were to go to production? What's the intended market?
The front end looks awkward especially where the lights are concerned. The color helps with the appearance but if it was white, blue or any basic color i think it would look ridiculous.
