General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade last month, bringing revised exterior styling, a new interior, new tech, and several other important changes. One of these is the new Executive Second-Row Seating Package.
Assigned RPO code RBV, the new package includes the following features:
- Rear Command Center
- Second-row captain’s chairs (AL4)
- Second-row ventilated seats (KUF)
- Heated second-row cushion and seat backs with dual mode switches (KCF)
- 6-way power second-row seat adjuster (ACS)
- 4-way power bolster second-row seat adjuster (AHX)
- 10-point power massage second-row seat adjuster (AJV)
- Second-row dual wireless charging (K7D)
- Second-row floor console with stowable tray tables (DK1)

2025 Escalade interior in Whisper Beige and Gideon Accents with Executive Second Row Seating Package
It’s worth noting that opting for the package essentially brings the two front seats to the second row, delivering a substantial upgrade over Escalades with the standard second row captain’s chairs, which are not only less comfortable but also lack ventilation, among other features like the Rear Command Center, multi-way adjustment, console, and wireless phone chargers.
The Executive Second-Row Seating Package will be offered exclusively on Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V trims. No pricing information is available just yet, but the same package will be available in the all-electric Escalade IQ. In the Cadillac Escalade IQ, the pack is priced at $7,500.
In addition to a new cockpit with a standard 55-inch coast-to-coast display, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade also receives updated 22-inch wheel choices, three sets of 24-inch wheels, three new exterior colors, and an exclusive matte color option.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will continue to be available in regular-length Escalade and extended-wheelbase Escalade ESV body styles. Production will increase for the hot Escalade-V variant, as well as the Sport Platinum to meet customer demand. The two gasoline engine options carry over, including the standard 6.2L V8 L87 atmospheric engine, and the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 in the Escalade-V. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine will no longer be available, as GM Authority was first to report. All Escalade variants ride on the GM T1 platform, with vehicle assembly taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Such a bargain and the 20-somethings that designed it will be wanting one, Problem is $100K is not in their idiotic budget.
Why did it take them this long to again offer a Cadillac for rich people to be driven in?
My limited past experience with GM’s three row vehicles was that middle row comfort for adults was seriously compromised (read: ruined) by the access to the third row (most often a too high floor). Have they fixed that yet?
That was fixed in the 2021 re-design with independent rear suspension
Finally. I’ve been thinking they needed this back seat for sometime. However, being a traditionalist and thinking Cadillac needs to revive names of the past instead of the meaningless alphabet soup names, I’d called it Talisman. Of course I also would have made it not available in beige, gray or black interior.
yes finally. i never understood why Cadillac always neglected the rear seats. All Cadillac sedans and SUVs should have these new features always. i bought a 2020 CT6v in part because the reat seatsbwere power operated and had screens but they were not available! Only the 2019 had them!!!
Freddy do you understand why Tesla, BMW, Audi, MB, Jaguar, and McLaren among others use alphanumeric badging rather than sticking on new names or old names? These alphanumeric badges translate very well around the world so that global citizens all know that a BMW 7 series is larger and more luxurious than a 5 series. And it also allows the manufacturers to spend their advertising dollars/euros elsewhere and not having to teach new buyers all about the new name – can you tell me the difference between the Cadillac Optiq, Vestiq and Celestiq? I can’t tell myself and neither can Cadillac China which has already decided to change on of these names – probably because they are not pronounceable. Sorry but I really appreciated the nomenclature of XT5, XT6 and XT4.
Yes. The car is near perfect.
Now, if it could only fly….
About time
about time. still wont replace the fleets of suburbans used as limos. the cost efficiency isnt there
Will the executive seat package offer massaging open pore wood with gold accent toilet seat for my pet walrus whose nickname is smelly bum?
I need an suv with more nonsense because having a seat to sit in was simply never enough
Well guess what Walrustoucher – there are thousands of used beaten up Tahoe and first generation SUVs out there with your name on them.
I’m glad to see this finally being offered on the Escalade. This should have been offered as optional equipment on the Escalade years ago including the CT6 and XTS, DTS, Deville, B-Body Fleetwood and Fleetwood and Brougham d, Elegance. Buick should have had this as optional equipment on their 2nd and 3rd generation LaCrosse, 91-96 and 97-05 Park Avenue including the 89-90 Park Avenue Ultra and 91-96 Roadmaster Sedan. Cadillac should definitely offer Power Soft Close Doors and Automatic Trunk Pull Down, more interior color choices for the seats, carpeting and headliner like Red, Orange, Blue, Brown and White as well as Suede or Leather headliner, Rear and Side window sunshades, an Air Purifier in the glove box with different scents and also Rear Heated and Ventilated seats and Rear Zone Automatic Climate Control as Standard equipment in their high-end models and trim levels and offer it as an option for their other models and lower trim levels. Buick is a Premium brand and should do the same and offer the same equipment and options as Cadillac does as standard equipment on their Avenir trim including the Bose iPerformance Series Sound System as standard on All Avenir trim levels and optional on the Preferred and ST trims. Cadillac and Buick are both of GMs Luxury brands. Fords Luxury brand Lincoln should definitely do the same and also offer All of the same standard equipment and options on All of their models including a Rear Seat Executive Package and Power Soft Close Doors.
Peter has said it best. I never understood why Cadillac and Buick always neglected the rear seats – and I don’t want to hear that it was because of cost and because most Americans use their cars just for going to work or to pick up a pint of milk and therefore there was no need to outfit the rears like Cadillac and Buick have learned to do in China. If it is expensive then offer it as an option. Cadillac and Buick have always been niggardly with their options especially compared to Audi, BMW, MB, Bentley, Rolls. And Peter is also right in saying that Cadillac and Buick need to vastly expand the type and variety of options offered – maybe then US buyers might resist the impulse to just buy second best off the lot and actually order the car they really want and wait 3 months for it to be delivered. That will increase buyer satisfaction and reduce storage costs for dealers. Looks like a win win to me.
I’ve been called with an allocation for a 2025 from my local dealer, but they are telling me the Executive Second Row Seating is not available yet. Do you know when they will start putting this option into production?
