The No. 19 NASCAR Chevy Silverado RST of Christian Eckes put on a clinic at Nashville Superspeedway on June 28th, 2024, leading all 150 laps to win on Friday night.
Eckes started third, but was able to take the lead in Turn 2 of the opening lap, and he never looked back. By the closing laps, he had opened that lead to over three seconds, crossing under the checkered flag 2.028 seconds ahead of Daniel Dye, fellow NASCAR Chevy driver, whose No. 43 Silverado chased him to a runner-up position – the best of his career.
“Can’t say enough about these guys,” Eckes said of his race-winning NASCAR Chevy team. “We were really motivated to get this truck out there. Nice job for the day.”
Eckes also earned an extra $50,000 for his victory as part of the Series’ Triple Truck Challenge, following Nick Sanchez and Corey Heim, who have also won Triple Truck races. The win at Nashville was also Eckes’ third of the 2024 season.
Speaking of Heim, he drove the No. 11 Toyota TRD Tundra to a third place finish on Friday night, followed by the No. 71 Silverado of Rajah Caruth in fourth. Tyler Ankrum’s No. 18 Silverado rounded out the top five.
Currently, Eckes maintains the Truck Series points lead.
