Refreshed 2025 Audi Q7 Debuts As Cadillac XT6 Rival

Audi has unveiled the refreshed 2025 Audi Q7, showing off a new exterior design front and back, new driver assistance and connectivity features, and up to 7,700 pounds of towing capacity. The 2025 Audi Q7 rivals the Cadillac XT6 in the luxury three-row crossover segment. Audi also offers the high-performance 2025 SQ7, for which Cadillac has no direct rival.

Outside, the 2025 Audi Q7 shows off a redesigned Singleframe grille design with vertical inlays, as well as revisions to the front and rear bumpers, plus new wheels. Wheel sizing includes 20-inch, 21-inch, and 22-inch designs. There’s also OLED lighting and three new metallic exterior colors.

Moving into the cabin, the refreshed 2025 Audi Q7 incorporates new interior treatments such as contrasting gray seam-stitching, while the optional Executive package adds luxury features like ventilated front seats and dual-pane acoustic glass. On the connectivity front, the new Q7 offers popular apps like Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube, all of which can be run natively through the on-board MMI system. Online navigation services and Traffic Light Information are available for three years at no extra cost, as is a six-month trial for streaming services and full-speed Wi-Fi.

Moving on to the power spec, the refreshed 2025 Audi Q7 offers several engine options, starting with a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder producing 261 horsepower in the Q7 45. The Q7 55 offers a turbocharged 3.0L V6, rated at 335 horsepower, while the go-fast 2025 Audi SQ7 offers a biturbo 4.0L V8 doling out 500 horsepower. Models equipped with the V6 and V8 also offer a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. The automaker’s quattro all-wheel system is equipped as standard across the range, as is an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

Pricing for the 2025 Audi Q7 45 starts at $60,500, while the 2025 Audi Q7 55 starts at $65,800. The performance-oriented 2025 Audi SQ7 starts at $90,800.

  • The Q7 needed a refresh, but even before the updates there is no universe where Cadillac holds a candle to any competitor with XT6 or XT5. That’s coming from a proud Cadillac owner.

    • Gotta agree with you on that. We are starting to look in the larger luxury SUV market and were hoping for a new revised XT6 for the next model year but Caddy is stretching out the same vehicle for 2025 and it is clearly dated when compared to the competition. And we’re not sure if they will even offer an ICE based or even hybrid replacement afterwards since their focus is on EVs which don’t fit our extended travel plans. We’re not a fan of the Lincoln offerings either so domestic solutions are non existant. 🤷‍♂️

  • For the difference in price, I'll take the XT6 all day long. In my opinion it's a much better value. I just leased a 2024 XT6 Prem Lux with the platinum package and I love it. It looks great, drive great and has all the bells and whistles anybody could want. I think it's a GREAT SUV and a great value, especially when compared to the German competition.
