This Modded Chevy C/K Is Certainly Interesting

Here’s another vehicle to file under “things we never thought we’d see.” What appears to be a second-generation Chevrolet C/K pickup surfaced on Reddit and features its engine sitting as far ahead from the driver as possible. We have so many questions.

We’d assume the truck’s drive wheels are still the rear ones, which probably makes for some interesting driving impressions. Overall, the pickup is just flat out bizarre looking. According to the thread, the truck was spotted in Elyria, Ohio, and all we have is this photo evidence of its existence. No word on what’s powering the truck, how much power it makes or what prompted this conversion.

As we always say, it’s not our truck. So, more power to the owner for building a very interesting vehicle.

  • In some Stares, the truck is unsafe on public roads because the bumper is behind the engine. Any crash will impact that engine and may cause greater damages to the vehicle ahead in the collision.

  • Might note he has a bar welded to the front with the plate. I am sure he is legal as that is what Ohio requires.

It is just truck for shows.

It is like the Camaro driven upside down gimmick car that has been posted here several times.

  • whatever the engine is, it's twin turbo which could mean that the bull balls hanging off the back might be his own.

  • Seriously? It's FUGLY, plain and simple. Never would be seen dead in that POS. Redneck engineering at its worst, short of a body bag.

    • To each their own. Pretty sure the guy wasn't trying to create something pretty. I wouldn't be caught dead in a late model Vette but would not consider them a piece of shit. Lol!

      • Yep...you're comparing a late model 'Vette to this abomination? Really? Ok....you drive this stupid C10 and I'll drive my 'Vette, and we'll see who's the fool, and who wouldn't be caught dead in what, einstein? Notice how I didn't give you an upper case E? Probably not....ROFLMAO...............

        • Hit a nerve genius?? I wasn't comparing the two at all. Comprehension is fundamental Einstein. I'll give you the upper case E. I bet you're a hoot at parties. Lol! You fit the common profile of a Corvette owner. Douche-bag.

    • I have often seen worse.

I get the joke part of this but did they need to spend that much on twin Turbo's?

I guess if the women don't find you handsome at least let them find you amusing.

      • As have I and you know a fool and his $$ will soon be parted. With what was spent $$ wise and labor, they could've done something great. Instead, they made a joke. I don't have that kind of $$ to piss away so I'm critical of their choices, but hey, it's their $$...Oh, and women don't find that amusing, they think you're an @$$, at least the intelligent ones I've known.

        • Well to each is own. If he is happy that is all that matters.

Like some folks love C4 Corvettes and have a great time with them while others would not drop a dime on one for they think it a foolish iinvestment.

It all matters what ever makes you happy.

To me I would never build a truck like this but I still like how it makes things interesting.

The real auto enthusiast segment needs to have all kinds or it would get boring fast.

  • To me, this guy is a clown ! That is not custom anything ! As a Chevy truck owner that is offensive !

    • Finally! Some common sense rational! So tired of "politically correct" BS! I've personally owned an '85 lowered "custom" Chevy 2WD shortbed Silverado AND an "87 GMC shortbed 4X4 Sierra. As a past GM truck owner I find this BS joke an offense.

      • I think lowered trucks are a joke. What's the point? A truck that has no clearance underneath is just pointless. I guess that's what D-Bags like...

  • His brakes were sh*t. This was his solution for a "safety net" and to maintain following distances. :-) ;-)

  • Expensive way to provoke comment. But it worked! Maybe it's a burnout exhibition machine.

    • For all we know he may get paid for show appearances. It may do wheelies.

Folks thought Hemi Under Glass was a mistake at first. I will see it run this weekend 40 plus year after it first failed.

    • ... but can we be sure that this is a physical reality and not a clever Photoshop work?

One should note that the exhaust ends before the driver's cabin, which contradicts the original idea behind the exhaust.

      • The exhaust is to remove the fumes below the body. This one is not even under the body.

It is no different than following another car.
