Chevrolet Camaro SS Pre-Orders Are Hot In South Korea

When the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS launches in South Korea, it will mark the first time an American sports car, outfitted with an equally American V8, will be offered in the country.

And it seems the South Koreans like the idea of a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 powered pony car, because, according to Pulse News, pre-orders are hot for the 2016 Camaro SS.

The report states 220 pre-orders have been tallied ahead of its introduction during the third quarter of this year. Market analysts said it’s shocking to see a car like the Camaro crack more than 30 pre-orders per day.

It could be the bang-for-your-buck performance, too. The Camaro SS will arrive with a price tag much lower than many other sports car sold in the country, yet provide plenty of power. 455 ponies and equally as much torque, to be exact.

  • Really nice to see Camaro getting out around the world, but GM needs to make the version with the steering wheel on the other side for some markets!
