General Motors Approves Car-O-Liner For Structural Repairs Of The 2016 Cadillac CT6

General Motors has officially approved Car-O-Liner’s structural repair process for the 2016 Cadillac CT6, following intensive diagramming, engineering and analysis.

The partnership between GM and Car-O-Liner, which is already a supplier for the automaker, has born a comprehensive 3D data sheet as well as a custom adaptor kit for the proper anchoring on Car-O-Liner’s BenchRack frame alignment system.

The collaboration began with the sharing of 3D engineered drawings and images. This information was then analyzed to develop proper anchoring points and adaptors. Car-O-Liner has also processed a complete set of data sheets with measurement points and photos.

Car-O-Liner will also offer a complete solutions package for the 2016 CT6 with aluminum repair.

“Car-O-Liner is proud to be an approved supplier to General Motors for the Cadillac CT6,” said Mark Weinmann, OEM Accounts Manager for Car-O-Liner. “We have worked closely with General Motors Service Engineering securing a CT6 body-in-white to validate the measuring data and recently displaying that same body-in-white with measuring and anchoring on our BenchRack at the SEMA Show.”

  • Oh great! The CT6 hasn't even gone into production yet and GM is announcing repair procedures for it. I have an idea GM. Hire me to run Cadillac marketing at half of what you pay Uwe, I couldn't do a worse job, Cadillac marketing is dead, and give him a job cleaning the restrooms at the Renn Center. Let's see CTS sales down 50%, ATS sales down 32%, Escalade sales down 12%, and what the hell is he doing about it. When it the last time you saw an ad, or video, for the CTS, or the upcoming CT6, or even the Escalade. They brought back the ELR for 2016 , but no Cadillac dealer in the Washington D.C. area wants one. Have you seen an ad for one??????

You didn't even read the article, did you? It's an announcement for dedicated, third-party organizations that specialize in structural aluminium repairs. Given how most repair shops at dealers can't repair aluminium frames to exacting standards as easily as they can for steel, the demands in material performance and appearance when repairing the CT6's aluminium frame will need the attention of parties outside the normal dealership repair shops.

But you didn't read any of that.

You just wanted to aimlessly bitch about Cadillac's sales volume, didn't you?

  • its a sham that the CT6 looks like the worst selling cars......I think why the sedan sales are falling is because the designs are stale and there are a little overpriced.....the Esclalade is the best one.......I find the interor of the CT6 a bit cheap looking......the seats look almost like the Ford Fuson seats.
