Opel Wishes Happy Halloween With Some Schadenfreude (Malicious Joy)

Not to be left out of the (nearly) worldwide frighfest that is Halloween, General Motors’ Opel division shared the following poem featuring none other than its Adam city car:

The Halloween pumpkins try to munch our car,
But our little ADAM really is a star.
With funky colors or a swing top roof,
It shows the pumpkins it’s no car for a goof.
The scary pumpkins look on in disbelief,
As our funky little ADAM shows them who’s the chief.
One pumpkin tries to block his escape route,
But our ADAM shows him he is anything but cute.
The impression left on the pumpkin’s face,
Proves that the ADAM really is an ace.

The rhyme is accompanied with the above photo, which features a pumpkin that the Adam turned into a toothless tiger, all with a touch of Schadenfreude (malicious joy).

The GM Authority Take

Nicely done on both the poem and the image, Opel. Nicely done indeed.

And some have the nerve to say that the Germans don’t have a sense of humor. Pffft.
