Watch The Magic Of Paintless Dent Repair On A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado: Video

I suppose we should preface this with “do not try this at home.” As simple as Jeremy Clarkson makes fixing things with a hammer, we’re pretty sure there’s more to dent repair than pulling on the rear-quarter panel of this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, and hammering about.

The video comes from Dent and Ding Surgeon, and was created showcase how much can be done without actually replacing a panel, with no need for paint. Our host tells us at the end of this project that this particular job took five hours to perfect after a trailer decided to get too close for comfort with the 2005 Silverado.

Again, it’s a lot of pounding and hammering, but there’s a method to this madness here. By going in through the taillight assembly, the team was able to remove the crown of the dent, and begin straightening things out. Though, that initial impact buff will remain, unless the owner decided to replace the particular trim piece on this Silverado.

So, if dent repair really gets you going, this is the video for you. Check it out right down below.
