Round 10 of the 2014 Cadillac Challenge was recently held at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, Calif. As always, there were more than a couple of entries which had been modified by expert Cadillac tuners D3, including a CTS-V Coupe with one extremely fast driver.
How fast was he? Well, two impressive Mopar entries, a brand new 707 horsepower Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and an SRT-10 Viper, got overtaken by the ‘V Coupe in one lap. Unsurprisingly, D3 got a kick out of that and decided to post the onboard video footage online.
We weren’t too surprised to see a D3-built and Cadillac Challenge-prepared CTS-V overtake a stock Charger Hellcat. The Hellcat has made headlines for its 707 horsepower output, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the D3 ‘V Coupe was putting a similar amount of ponies to the pavement, and that’s in addition to extensive suspension tuning.
Overtaking the Viper was a bit of a bigger task, however this driver/car combo makes it looks easy as can be. Revel in the Mopar-shaming, General Motors-powered race footage below, Cadillac fans.
