In 2011, skateboarder turned reality TV star, Rob Dyrdek, performed the world’s first successful 360-degree car kickflip off a ramp (that’s a barrel roll to those not familiar with skateboard lingo) in a Chevrolet Sonic. Now, Rob and Chevrolet have teamed up for another World Record attempt, this time for the Farthest Reverse Ramp Jump by a Car.
Performed in front of a crowd at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. MTV and Chevrolet filmed the jump, which will then be featured on the season finale of Rob’s show, Fantasy Factory.
Below is the stunt itself. You can catch the reverse jump record attempt during the season finale episode of Fantasy Factory on March 13, as well.

Very nicely done! I bet some Asian manufacturer will try to beat that record. It is a grave dishonor for them that an American vehicle can outdo their stunts. But this stunt will not sell the Chevy Sonic.
Now I would love to see a 2014 Chevy Spark EV do a forward jump and establish its own Guinness record.
