Spied: A 2014 Cadillac CTS Wagon?

In the outskirts of Denver, Colorado, hidden under a cover in a hotel parking lot appears to be one of the ten new models Cadillac’s Don Butler was talking about. The surprising part is it’s a station wagon — something that has been reportedly been suspended. At least, that’s what we heard about a Cadillac ATS wagon.

Judging by the proportions of the veiled vehicles, that still may very well be the case, as they appear a bit too girthy to be  ATS testers. So, does this mean we’re looking at a test fleet of next-generation CTS sedans accompanied by a next-generation CTS Wagon?  We hope so. For the record, we also hope an ATS wagon is in our future.

Other, less exciting possibilities of what lays beneath that sheet could be something that’s based off the Epsilon II platform, such as an XTS wagon (it’s a stretch) or perhaps a Buick Regal wagon, which was a project that was supposedly canned.

But will this high-capacity Cadillac be sold here in its home country? Or is it meant for the European Union? Hopefully, it’s both. And what’s with the blue Opel Astra GTC on the far right?
