General Motors has declared a fourth quarter 2024 dividend in the amount of $0.12 per share on each share of outstanding GM stock. The Q4 2024 General Motors dividend will be payable on December 19th, 2024 to all common shareholders of record as of the close of trading on December 6th, 2024. The $0.12-per-share dividend is identical to the dividend that GM announced for Q3 of 2024, Q2 of 2024, and Q1 of 2024. It is also a 33-percent increase compared to the Q4 2023 dividend amount of $0.09.
GM stock value is currently hovering just below the $50-per-share mark, closing at $49.18 on Friday, October 18st, marking an increase $1.31 per share, or 2.74 percent compared to the previous week’s closing value of $47.37. General Motors stock value closed at $48.93 at the end of trading on Monday, October 21st.
Some of the latest factors affecting General Motors stock value include speculation that General Motors could incorporate low-cost LFP battery technology for use in its all-electric truck models. Company President Mark Reuss also recently outlined General Motors’ business case in the entry-level vehicle segment, while OnStar is expected to expand to serve as General Motors’ eCommerce platform.
Meanwhile, sales figures for GM China’s operations paint a somewhat bleak picture, falling 21 percent during the third quarter of the 2024 calendar year, prompting company CEO Mary Barra to call out numerous unprofitable automakers that seem to be “prioritizing production over profitability.” Nevertheless, General Motors remains optimistic about turning around its sales slide in the region with the launch of several new plug-in hybrid and all-electric models, including notable releases like the Chevy Equinox PHEV and Buick GL8 ES PHEV.
General Motors continues to refine its all-electric transition plans, as well, with The General gearing up to reintroduce plug-in hybrid electric vehicles to the North American lineup as a means of bridging the gap between internal combustion and all-electric models.
GM stock has hovered around the $45-per-share mark for the last several months, with closing values of $44,61 per share on August 1st, $49.15 per share on September 3rd, and $45,15 on October 1st.

what ! no comments about how Mary is destroying gm ?
$0.12 per share. I wouldn’t brag about that. Well unless you are the largest individual shareholder of GM stock, like Mary.
Yes Mary has been in way over her head since the board selected her to put a softer face on GM for the ignition debacle.
GM stock has consistently performed at levels way below the market.
Why is she still here???
