Cadillac Celestiq ‘Beast’ Rendered As Presidential Limousine

Throughout American history, the sitting U.S. president has traveled in a specially tailored, (usually) heavily armored vehicle, with the current model famously known as “The Beast.” Based on a GM platform and taking after the Cadillac CT6 in terms of styling, The Beast is offers impressive security, plus a comfortable cabin to accommodate the Commander-in-chief. However, as Cadillac moves toward electrification, we couldn’t help but wonder – what would a Cadillac Celestiq Beast look like? To explore the possibility, we’ve created a rendering of the Cadillac Celestiq as a presidential limousine.

From the outset, it’s important to note that, as far as we know anyway, there are no official plans to actually create a presidential limousine based on the Celestiq. Rather, this rendering is more of a thought experiment and visual exploration of what such a vehicle might look like.

As Cadillac’s new all-electric halo sedan, the Celestiq certainly seems like it could be a strong candidate for future presidential transportation. The standard model is already packed with high-end luxury features and cutting-edge electric powertrain technology, making it a fitting symbol of modern American engineering and design.

In our rendering, the Celestiq has undergone significant modifications to meet the requirements of a presidential limo. The sleek lines of the production model have been extended and reinforced, giving it a beefed-up, imposing presence. The tires have also been upgraded to thick-sidewall rubber designed to keep rolling even in the event of an attack.

While the standard Celestiq already tips the scales at over 6,600 pounds, an armor-plated version with an extended body and bulletproof glass would likely weigh significantly more. However, with an upgraded GM Ultium powertrain, there should have no problem delivering the necessary torque to keep this heavy-duty limo moving.

So, what do you think? Could the Cadillac Celestiq be a good direction for the next generation of presidential limousines, or is this just a crazy idea best left to the imagination? Let us know your thoughts, and subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Celestiq news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

    • Dropping the hatchback for a traditional rear decklid and tail would help a lot.

The thing is effectively an armored personnel carrier, and it'll always be a challenge to match its functionality with the right blend of stateliness and "Don't # with me".

(The current limo gets many things right IMO; if it needs changes why not keep the current looks and do the necessary work underneath?)

    • Similar but it is actually built on a on a Silverado HD 4-6 class (4500, 5500, 6500), while this Silverado is based on the K2XX platform just like the Suburban (plus regular Silverado's, Tahoe's, Yukon's, and the Escalade). It is much stronger, durable, and can handle the extra weight from items required by the government like body armor and bullet proof glass.

  • I am trying to keep breakfast down, then I see this obnoxious thing! I am mortified, how can anyone come up with such an ugly prototype. It looks like something China would design, but then, GM, particularly Cadillac loves China. This would give you nightmares, it’s that horrible. Do not put President Trump and First Lady Mrs. Trump in such a horrifying vehicle. The Bat Mobile looks far better than this, and BTW, no one wants battery operated vehicles,,,,how are your sales going with those? Start producing what Americans want and not what the dems want. Your designers have zero talent! Go with a Rolls Royce or Bentley limo for President Trump, those vehicles still have class fitting for King Trump, this has to be a complete joke, lol,,,,,

    • In your rush to spew some cheap political bluster you missed a key point.
GM did not commission the design- GM Authority did.
      Nothing to do with China
Nothing to do with the Dems.
Your comments, like your political hero turned out to be the complete joke.

      • Bravo Joe M!! These Trumpers can’t help themselves. They also forget to put “former” in front of president, as if they’re living in a delusional alternate universe. Sad.

  • ... maybe better to buy the Putin Limousine

in lunch was proposing to my wife if would marry barra to make only 3 brands for GM

    1. GMC cars and trucks as standard vehicles worldwide 2. buick for medium class 3. Cadillac .... for riches
howeve think is time GM to review all design of its vehicles because there is none elegant or even to say really beautiful

    • Putin's Russian built limo actually looks like one.

People don't like the Celestiq no matter how much it is photoshopped.

I still say it looks like an AMC Gremlin.

  • The limousine of "Papa Putin", let's say, has a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT "filling"! That's the first thing.
And secondly, gentlemen, first of all I will say that this car has a rather pleasant appearance! From the point of view of an ADULT. Especially in the front and back, where, as it seems from the photo provided here, there are very unusual rear lights! And in the front, this car is made with a VERY good share of taste (I mean, a complete absence of any so-called "special effects", like all sorts of "glitter", a rather rough execution of the "face", and the like). In general, as was said earlier - modestly, but with taste! And most importantly - ENTIRELY IN THE SPIRIT OF TODAY!!!
Although, as is well known, the MOST IMPORTANT THING in a car is NOT this ... !!! And its engine, gearbox, suspension and shock absorption (about which here, in this material, TO THE GREATEST REGRET - NOT A SOUND!!!). As well as about the car's interior. And WITHOUT this, sorry, it is very difficult to make the CORRECT conclusion! That's all. Thank you.

    • Ridiculous. It's hideous, and it's electric. Fortunately, nobody in their right mind would build it

  • Only an idiot like her would order an electric presidential limousine. Fortunately for our country, we won't have to worry about that.

    • Don’t be so sure about your assessment of VP Harris, Housedoc. Also, the disrespect and childish name calling that your obvious mentor Trump has successfully normalized for his disciples like you to parrot is one reason that he is so despised by the critical thinking, decent Americans. We all don’t need to agree, but we all do need to respect our right to disagree without stooping to this level. Stay in your lane, please and keep these derogatory remarks to yourself like your parents taught you. Try to stay on the topic of cars here, please.
