Check Out Joe Rogan’s LT4-Powered 1969 Chevy Nova: Video

Comedian and Podcast host Joe Rogan is often the subject of many questionable controversies. That being said, there is one certainty about the former Fear Factor host, and that’s a superb taste in classic muscle cars, as evidenced in Rogan’s LT4-powered 1969 Chevy Nova.

Built by California-based Pure Vision Designs, this ’69 Nova may look like a relativity mild, yet very clean, restomod at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, this build is anything but. Pure Vision Designs took this Nova and completely revamped every single aspect about it. Starting with the exterior, they took reproduction 1969 Camaro and Firebird body panels and grafted them into the Nova’s sheet metal, giving the muscle car the iconic ’69 Camaro’s body lines. In addition, there are little details scattered all over the car, including the front “gills” next to the headlamps and the taillamp bezels designed to mimic those found on the 1969 Camaro.

Inside, we find more of the same “less is more” visual approach. This results in a simple yet utilitarian interior appointment, with highlights including a custom 1965 Chevy Covair Corsa gauge cluster, left-sided ignition, Fender Telecaster guitar knobs for audio adjustment, and a hidden center touchscreen.

As for suspension upgrades, Art Morrison front and rear subframes are bolted in to provide superlative performance while maintaining a comfortable ride. At the front, this Nova features Corvette A-arms, while out back, a complete independent rear suspension setup as been installed.

In regard to powertrain, this 1969 Nova is powered by a GM 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline crate engine, which Pure Vision Designs has decided to keep untouched. Rated from the factory at a stout 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, output is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission.

Regardless of your option on Joe Rogan’s antics, it’s hard to argue that his 1969 Chevy Nova is anything less than a work of art.

  • This car was built on tv show Hand Built Hot Rods like 5 years ago. They made some tasteful cars.

  • I saw the TV show also. There iis a ton of work put into this ride. All these things take to build is....MONEY. Nice if you can do it. One can like it or not.

  • Not much on the rear spoiler or the exhaust going through the bumper. Other than that it looks great. Alot of work, thought and planning went into it thats for sure.
